يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتِىَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّى فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿47﴾

O Children of Israel, remember My favor that I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds.

O childrenيَابَنِيCBIVOC+NيَاO+بَChildren+نِيme
Of israelإِسْرَائِيلَI
RememberاذْكُرُواF
My favorنِعْمَتِيَCBIN+PRONATTنِعْمَتِMy favor+يَme / my
WhichالَّتِيI
I bestowedأَنْعَمْتُF
Upon youعَلَيْكُمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىUpon+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And that iوَأَنِّيCBHCONJ+ACC+PRONATTوَand+أَThat i+نيme
[i] preferred youفَضَّلْتُكُمْCBFV+PRONATTفَضَّلْتُ[i] preferred+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
OverعَلَىH
The worldsالْعَالَمِينَIالthe+عَالَمِينَWorlds

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِى نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا شَفَٰعَةٌ وَلَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ﴿48﴾

And fear a Day when no soul will suffice for another soul at all, nor will intercession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be taken from it, nor will they be aided.

AvailتَجْزِيF
Any soulنَفْسٌI

Another soulنَفْسٍI

And notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاNot
Will be acceptedيُقْبَلُF
From itمِنْهَاCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هَاher / it / its
Any intercessionشَفَاعَةٌI
And notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاNot
Will be takenيُؤْخَذُF
From itمِنْهَاCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هَاher / it / its
A compensationعَدْلٌI
And notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاNot
TheyهُمْI
Will be helpedيُنْصَرُونَF

وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ ﴿49﴾

And [recall] when We saved your forefathers from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with the worst torment, slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.

Who were afflicting you withيَسُومُونَكُمْCBFV+PRONATTيَسُومُونَWho were afflicting you with+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
HorribleسُوءَI
TormentالْعَذَابِIالthe+عَذَابِTorment
SlaughteringيُذَبِّحُونَF
Your sonsأَبْنَاءَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَبْنَاءَYour sons+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And letting liveوَيَسْتَحْيُونَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَسْتَحْيُونَLetting live
Your womenنِسَاءَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTنِسَاءَYour women+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And inوَفِيCBHCONJ+Pوَand+فِيIn
ThatذَلِكُمْI
Was a trialبَلَاءٌI
FromمِنْH
Your LordرَبِّكُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّYour Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
GreatعَظِيمٌI

وَإِذْ فَرَقْنَا بِكُمُ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَأَنجَيْنَٰكُمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَآ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ ﴿50﴾

And [recall] when We parted the sea for you and saved you and drowned the people of Pharaoh while you were looking on.

Then we saved youفَأَنْجَيْنَاكُمْCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَنْجَيْنَاWe saved+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And we drownedوَأَغْرَقْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَغْرَقْنَاWe drowned
The peopleآلَI
Of PharaohفِرْعَوْنَI
While youوَأَنْتُمْCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+أَنْتُمْWhile you
Were lookingتَنْظُرُونَF

وَإِذْ وَٰعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ ﴿51﴾

And [recall] when We made an appointment with Moses for forty nights. Then you took [for worship] the calf after him, while you were wrongdoers.

For mosesمُوسَىI
FortyأَرْبَعِينَI
NightsلَيْلَةًI
ThenثُمَّH
You tookاتَّخَذْتُمُF
The calfالْعِجْلَIالthe+عِجْلَCalf
FromمِنْH
After himبَعْدِهِCBIN+PRONATTبَعْدِAfter+هِhim / his / it
And youوَأَنْتُمْCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+أَنْتُمْYou
Were wrongdoersظَالِمُونَI

ثُمَّ عَفَوْنَا عَنكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿52﴾

Then We forgave you after that so perhaps you would be grateful.

Be gratefulتَشْكُرُونَF

وَإِذْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْفُرْقَانَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ﴿53﴾

And [recall] when We gave Moses the Scripture and criterion that perhaps you would be guided.

The BookالْكِتَابَIالthe+كِتَابَBook
And the criterionوَالْفُرْقَانَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+فُرْقَانَCriterion
Perhaps youلَعَلَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTلَعَلَّPerhaps+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Would be guidedتَهْتَدُونَF

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنفُسَكُم بِٱتِّخَاذِكُمُ ٱلْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ بَارِئِكُمْ فَٱقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ عِندَ بَارِئِكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴿54﴾

And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

O my peopleيَاقَوْمِCBIVOC+NيَاO+قَوْمِMy people
Indeed youإِنَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
[you] have wrongedظَلَمْتُمْF
YourselvesأَنْفُسَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَنْفُسَYourselves+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
By your takingبِاتِّخَاذِكُمُCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+اتِّخَاذِYour taking+كُمُyou / your (pl.)
The calfالْعِجْلَIالthe+عِجْلَCalf
So turn in repentanceفَتُوبُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+تُوبُواTurn in repentance
ToإِلَىH
Your creatorبَارِئِكُمْCBIN+PRONATTبَارِئِYour creator+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And killفَاقْتُلُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+اقْتُلُواAnd kill
YourselvesأَنْفُسَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَنْفُسَYourselves+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
ThatذَلِكُمْI
Is betterخَيْرٌI
For youلَكُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
WithعِنْدَI
Your creatorبَارِئِكُمْCBIN+PRONATTبَارِئِYour creator+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Then he turnedفَتَابَCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+تَابَHe turned
Towards youعَلَيْكُمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىTowards+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Indeed heإِنَّهُCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed he+هُhim / his / it
HeهُوَI
Is the returningالتَّوَّابُIالthe+تَوَّابُIs the returning
The most MercifulالرَّحِيمُIالthe+رَحِيمُMost Merciful

وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّىٰ نَرَى ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ ﴿55﴾

And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we will never believe you until we see Allah outright"; so the thunderbolt took you while you were looking on.

NeverلَنْH
Will we believeنُؤْمِنَF
In youلَكَCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كَyou / your
UntilحَتَّىH
We seeنَرَىF
AllahاللَّهَI
ManifestlyجَهْرَةًI
So seized youفَأَخَذَتْكُمُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَخَذَتْSeized+كُمُyou / your (pl.)
The thunderboltالصَّاعِقَةُIالthe+صَاعِقَةُThunderbolt
While youوَأَنْتُمْCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+أَنْتُمْWhile you
Were lookingتَنْظُرُونَF

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَٰكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَوْتِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿56﴾

Then We revived you after your death that perhaps you would be grateful.

AfterبَعْدِI
Your deathمَوْتِكُمْCBIN+PRONATTمَوْتِYour death+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
So that you mayلَعَلَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTلَعَلَّSo that you may+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Be gratefulتَشْكُرُونَF

وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْغَمَامَ وَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلْوَىٰ ۖ كُلُوا۟ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ ۖ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ ﴿57﴾

And We shaded you with clouds and sent down to you manna and quails, [saying], "Eat from the good things with which We have provided you." And they wronged Us not - but they were [only] wronging themselves.

And we shadedوَظَلَّلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+ظَلَّلْنَاWe shaded
[over] youعَلَيْكُمُCBHP+PRONATTعَلَى[over]+كُمُyou / your (pl.)
With [the] cloudsالْغَمَامَIالthe+غَمَامَWith [the] clouds
And we sent downوَأَنْزَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَنْزَلْنَاWe sent down
To youعَلَيْكُمُCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىTo+كُمُyou / your (pl.)
[the]الْمَنَّIالthe+مَنَّ[the]
And [the] quailsوَالسَّلْوَىCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+سَلْوَى[the] quails
EatكُلُواF
FromمِنْH
The good thingsطَيِّبَاتِI
ThatمَاI
We have provided youرَزَقْنَاكُمْCBFV+PRONATTرَزَقْنَاWe have provided+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And notوَمَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+مَاNot
They wronged usظَلَمُونَاCBFV+PRONATTظَلَمُوThey wronged+نَاus / our
ButوَلَكِنْCBHCONJ+AMDوَand+لَكِنْBut
They wereكَانُواF
To themselvesأَنْفُسَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَنْفُسَTo+هُمْthem / their
Doing wrongيَظْلِمُونَF

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَدًا وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا۟ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَٰيَٰكُمْ ۚ وَسَنَزِيدُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿58﴾

And [recall] when We said, "Enter this city and eat from it wherever you will in [ease and] abundance, and enter the gate bowing humbly and say, 'Relieve us of our burdens.' We will [then] forgive your sins for you, and We will increase the doers of good [in goodness and reward]."

FromمِنْهَاCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هَاher / it / its
WhereverحَيْثُI
You wish[ed]شِئْتُمْF
AbundantlyرَغَدًاI
And enterوَادْخُلُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+ادْخُلُواEnter
The gateالْبَابَIالthe+بَابَGate
ProstratingسُجَّدًاI
And sayوَقُولُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قُولُواSay
RepentanceحِطَّةٌI
We will forgiveنَغْفِرْF
For youلَكُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Your sinsخَطَايَاكُمْCBIN+PRONATTخَطَايَاYour sins+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And we will increaseوَسَنَزِيدُCBFCONJ+FUT+Vوَand+سَwill+نَزِيدُWe will increase
The good doers in rewardالْمُحْسِنِينَIالthe+مُحْسِنِينَGood doers in reward

فَبَدَّلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ قَوْلًا غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ رِجْزًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْسُقُونَ ﴿59﴾

But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying.

They wereكَانُواF
