سَلْ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ كَمْ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۭ بَيِّنَةٍ ۗ وَمَن يُبَدِّلْ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ ﴿211﴾
Ask the Children of Israel how many a sign of evidence We have given them. And whoever exchanges the favor of Allah [for disbelief] after it has come to him - then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

← read from right to left1BeautifiedزُيِّنَzuyyinaF 2For those whoلِلَّذِينَlilladhinaCBIP+RELلِfor / to+الَّذِينَThose who 3Disbelieve[d]كَفَرُواkafaruF 4Is the lifeالْحَيَاةُl-hayatuIالthe+حَيَاةُIs the life 5Of the worldالدُّنْيَاl-dunyaIالthe+دُنْيَاOf the world 6And they ridiculeوَيَسْخَرُونَwayaskharunaCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَسْخَرُونَThey ridicule 8Those whoالَّذِينَalladhinaI 10And those whoوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhinaCBICONJ+RELوَand+الَّذِينَThose who 11Fear AllahاتَّقَوْاittaqawF 12They will be above themفَوْقَهُمْfawqahumCBILOC+PRONATTفَوْقَThey will be above+هُمْthem / their 14Of resurrectionالْقِيَامَةِl-qiyamatiIالthe+قِيَامَةِOf resurrection 15And Allahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُAllah 16ProvidesيَرْزُقُyarzuquF 18He willsيَشَاءُyasha'uF 19WithoutبِغَيْرِbighayriCBIP+Nبِwith / in+غَيْرِWithout كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَأَنزَلَ مَعَهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ فِيمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَا ٱخْتَلَفَ فِيهِ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوهُ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ فَهَدَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لِمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿213﴾
Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.

← read from right to left2Do you thinkحَسِبْتُمْhasibtumF 4You will enterتَدْخُلُواtadkhuluF 5Paradiseالْجَنَّةَl-janataIالthe+جَنَّةَParadise 6While notوَلَمَّاwalammaCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَمَّاWhile not 7Has come to youيَأْتِكُمْya'tikumCBFV+PRONATTيَأْتِHas come to+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 8Like came toمَثَلُmathaluI 9Those whoالَّذِينَalladhinaI 10Passed awayخَلَوْاkhalawF 12Before youقَبْلِكُمْqablikumCBIN+PRONATTقَبْلِBefore+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 13Touched themمَسَّتْهُمُmassathumuCBFV+PRONATTمَسَّتْTouched+هُمُthem / their 14[the] adversityالْبَأْسَاءُl-ba'sa'uIالthe+بَأْسَاءُ[the] adversity 15And [the] hardshipوَالضَّرَّاءُwal-dara'uCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+ضَرَّاءُ[the] hardship 16And they were shakenوَزُلْزِلُواwazulziluCBFCONJ+Vوَand+زُلْزِلُواThey were shaken 19The Messengerالرَّسُولُl-rasuluIالthe+رَسُولُMessenger 20And those whoوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhinaCBICONJ+RELوَand+الَّذِينَThose who 24[will] the helpنَصْرُnasruI 25Of Allah comeاللَّهِl-lahiI 26UnquestionablyأَلَاalaHأَنْthat=لَاnot يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ ۖ قُلْ مَآ أَنفَقْتُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ فَلِلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۗ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌ ﴿215﴾
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."

Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.
