وَٱتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌ ۚ أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّهُۥ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلَا يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلًا ۘ ٱتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴿148﴾

And the people of Moses made, after [his departure], from their ornaments a calf - an image having a lowing sound. Did they not see that it could neither speak to them nor guide them to a way? They took it [for worship], and they were wrongdoers.

That itأَنَّهُCBHACC+PRONATTأَنَّThat+هُhim / his / it
Could notلَاH
Speak to themيُكَلِّمُهُمْCBFV+PRONATTيُكَلِّمُSpeak to+هُمْthem / their
And notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاNot
Guide themيَهْدِيهِمْCBFV+PRONATTيَهْدِيGuide+هِمْthem / their
To a wayسَبِيلًاI
They took it for worshipاتَّخَذُوهُCBFV+PRONATTاتَّخَذُوThey took it for worship+هُhim / his / it
And they wereوَكَانُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانُواThey were
WrongdoersظَالِمِينَI

وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِىٓ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَرَأَوْا۟ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ يَرْحَمْنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغْفِرْ لَنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ ﴿149﴾

And when regret overcame them and they saw that they had gone astray, they said, "If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers."

Our Lord does not have mercy on usلَمْH
Our Lord does not have mercy on usيَرْحَمْنَاCBFV+PRONATTيَرْحَمْOur Lord does not have mercy on+نَاus / our
Our Lord does not have mercy on usرَبُّنَاCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّOur Lord does not have mercy on+نَاus / our
And forgiveوَيَغْفِرْCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَغْفِرْForgive
[for] usلَنَاCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَاus / our
We will surely beلَنَكُونَنَّCBFLAM+V+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَكُونَWe will surely be+نَّemphasis
AmongمِنَH
The losersالْخَاسِرِينَIالthe+خَاسِرِينَLosers

وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِى مِنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ وَأَلْقَى ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ ۚ قَالَ ٱبْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى وَكَادُوا۟ يَقْتُلُونَنِى فَلَا تُشْمِتْ بِىَ ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿150﴾

And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "How wretched is that by which you have replaced me after [my departure]. Were you impatient over the matter of your Lord?" And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, pulling him toward him. [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, indeed the people oppressed me and were about to kill me, so let not the enemies rejoice over me and do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

After meبَعْدِيCBIN+PRONATTبَعْدِAfter+يme / my
Were you impatientأَعَجِلْتُمْCBFINTG+Vأَis it? / did?+عَجِلْتُمْWere you impatient
Over the matterأَمْرَI
Of your LordرَبِّكُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّOf your Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And he cast downوَأَلْقَىCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَلْقَىHe cast down
The tabletsالْأَلْوَاحَIالthe+أَلْوَاحَTablets
And seizedوَأَخَذَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَخَذَSeized
By headبِرَأْسِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+رَأْسِHead
His brotherأَخِيهِCBIN+PRONATTأَخِيHis brother+هِhim / his / it
Dragging himيَجُرُّهُCBFV+PRONATTيَجُرُّDragging+هُhim / his / it
To himselfإِلَيْهِCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTo himself+هِhim / his / it
He saidقَالَF
O sonابْنَI
Of my motherأُمَّI
IndeedإِنَّH
The peopleالْقَوْمَIالthe+قَوْمَPeople
Considered me weakاسْتَضْعَفُونِيCBFV+PRONATTاسْتَضْعَفُوConsidered me weak+نِيme
And were about toوَكَادُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَادُواWere about to
Kill meيَقْتُلُونَنِيCBFV+PRONATTيَقْتُلُونَKill+نِيme
So let notفَلَاCBHCONJ+PROفَso / then+لَاLet not
RejoiceتُشْمِتْF
Over meبِيَCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+يَme / my
The enemiesالْأَعْدَاءَIالthe+أَعْدَاءَEnemies
And do notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاDo not
Place meتَجْعَلْنِيCBFV+PRONATTتَجْعَلْPlace+نِيme
WithمَعَI
The wrongdoing peopleالْقَوْمِIالthe+قَوْمِWrongdoing people
The wrongdoing peopleالظَّالِمِينَIالthe+ظَالِمِينَWrongdoing people

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِأَخِى وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِى رَحْمَتِكَ ۖ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ ﴿151﴾

[Moses] said, "My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the most merciful of the merciful."
