وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَآ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ بِٱلسِّنِينَ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ ﴿130﴾

And We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits that perhaps they would be reminded.

We seizedأَخَذْنَاF
The peopleآلَI
Of PharaohفِرْعَوْنَI
With years of famineبِالسِّنِينَCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+سِنِينَYears of famine
And a deficitوَنَقْصٍCBICONJ+Nوَand+نَقْصٍA deficit
OfمِنَH
[the] fruitsالثَّمَرَاتِIالthe+ثَمَرَاتِ[the] fruits
So that they mayلَعَلَّهُمْCBHACC+PRONATTلَعَلَّSo that they may+هُمْthem / their
Receive admonitionيَذَّكَّرُونَF

فَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْحَسَنَةُ قَالُوا۟ لَنَا هَٰذِهِۦ ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُوا۟ بِمُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّمَا طَٰٓئِرُهُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿131﴾

But when good came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with Allah, but most of them do not know.

Afflicts themتُصِبْهُمْCBFV+PRONATTتُصِبْAfflicts+هُمْthem / their
BadسَيِّئَةٌI
They ascribe evil omensيَطَّيَّرُواF
To mosesبِمُوسَىCBIP+PNبِwith / in+مُوسَىTo moses
And whoوَمَنْCBICONJ+RELوَand+مَنْWho
Were with himمَعَهُI
BeholdأَلَاHأَنْthat=لَاnot
OnlyإِنَّمَاCBHإِنَّindeed=مَاonly
Their evil omensطَائِرُهُمْCBIN+PRONATTطَائِرُTheir evil omens+هُمْthem / their
Are withعِنْدَI
AllahاللَّهِI
ButوَلَكِنَّCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+لَكِنَّBut
Most of themأَكْثَرَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَكْثَرَMost of+هُمْthem / their
Do notلَاH
KnowيَعْلَمُونَF

وَقَالُوا۟ مَهْمَا تَأْتِنَا بِهِۦ مِنْ ءَايَةٍ لِّتَسْحَرَنَا بِهَا فَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿132﴾

And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us, we will not be believers in you."

You bring usتَأْتِنَاCBFV+PRONATTتَأْتِYou bring+نَاus / our

OfمِنْH
The signآيَةٍI
So that you bewitch usلِتَسْحَرَنَاCBFP+V+PRONATTلِfor / to+تَسْحَرَSo that you bewitch+نَاus / our
With itبِهَاCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هَاher / it / its
Then notفَمَاCBHCONJ+NEGفَso / then+مَاNot
WeنَحْنُI
Will be in youلَكَCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كَyou / your
BelieversبِمُؤْمِنِينَCBIP+Nبِwith / in+مُؤْمِنِينَBelievers

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلطُّوفَانَ وَٱلْجَرَادَ وَٱلْقُمَّلَ وَٱلضَّفَادِعَ وَٱلدَّمَ ءَايَٰتٍ مُّفَصَّلَٰتٍ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ ﴿133﴾

So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.

The floodالطُّوفَانَIالthe+طُوفَانَFlood
And the locustsوَالْجَرَادَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+جَرَادَLocusts
And the liceوَالْقُمَّلَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+قُمَّلَLice
And the frogsوَالضَّفَادِعَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+ضَفَادِعَFrogs
And the bloodوَالدَّمَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+دَمَBlood
As signsآيَاتٍI
ManifestمُفَصَّلَاتٍI
But they showed arroganceفَاسْتَكْبَرُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+اسْتَكْبَرُواBut they showed arrogance
And they wereوَكَانُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانُواThey were
A criminal peopleقَوْمًاI
A criminal peopleمُجْرِمِينَI

وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّجْزُ قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَى ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ ۖ لَئِن كَشَفْتَ عَنَّا ٱلرِّجْزَ لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ﴿134﴾

And when the punishment descended upon them, they said, "O Moses, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. If you [can] remove the punishment from us, we will surely believe you, and we will send with you the Children of Israel."

O mosesيَامُوسَىCBIVOC+PNيَاO+مُوسَىMoses
InvokeادْعُF
For usلَنَاCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَاus / our
Your LordرَبَّكَCBIN+PRONATTرَبَّYour Lord+كَyou / your
By whatبِمَاCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاWhat
He has promisedعَهِدَF
To youعِنْدَكَCBILOC+PRONATTعِنْدَTo+كَyou / your
IfلَئِنْH
You removeكَشَفْتَF
From usعَنَّاCBHP+PRONATTعَFrom+نَاus / our
The punishmentالرِّجْزَIالthe+رِجْزَPunishment
Surely we will believeلَنُؤْمِنَنَّCBFLAM+V+PRONATTلَfor / to+نُؤْمِنَSurely we will believe+نَّemphasis
[for] youلَكَCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كَyou / your
And surely we will sendوَلَنُرْسِلَنَّCBFCONJ+LAM+V+PRONATTوَand+لَfor / to+نُرْسِلَSurely we will send+نَّemphasis
With youمَعَكَI
The childrenبَنِيI
Of israelإِسْرَائِيلَI

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ هُم بَٰلِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ ﴿135﴾

But when We removed the punishment from them until a term which they were to reach, then at once they broke their word.

We removedكَشَفْنَاF
From themعَنْهُمُCBHP+PRONATTعَنْFrom+هُمُthem / their
The punishmentالرِّجْزَIالthe+رِجْزَPunishment
TillإِلَىH
A fixed termأَجَلٍI
Which theyهُمْI
Were to reach [it]بَالِغُوهُCBIN+PRONATTبَالِغُوWere to reach [it]+هُhim / his / it
ThenإِذَاH
TheyهُمْI
Broke the wordيَنْكُثُونَF

فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا غَٰفِلِينَ ﴿136﴾

So We took retribution from them, and We drowned them in the sea because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them.

InفِيH
The seaالْيَمِّIالthe+يَمِّSea
Because theyبِأَنَّهُمْCBHP+ACC+PRONATTبِwith / in+أَنَّBecause+هُمْthem / their
DeniedكَذَّبُواF
Our signsبِآيَاتِنَاCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+آيَاتِOur signs+نَاus / our
And they wereوَكَانُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانُواThey were
To themعَنْهَاCBHP+PRONATTعَنْTo+هَاher / it / its
HeedlessغَافِلِينَI

وَأَوْرَثْنَا ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَٰرِقَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَغَٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِى بَٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا ۖ وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ ۖ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْرِشُونَ ﴿137﴾

And We caused the people who had been oppressed to inherit the eastern regions of the land and the western ones, which We had blessed. And the good word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of what they had patiently endured. And We destroyed [all] that Pharaoh and his people were producing and what they had been building.

And we made inheritorsوَأَوْرَثْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَوْرَثْنَاWe made inheritors
The peopleالْقَوْمَIالthe+قَوْمَPeople
Those whoالَّذِينَI
WereكَانُواF
Considered weakيُسْتَضْعَفُونَF
The eastern partsمَشَارِقَI
Of the landالْأَرْضِIالthe+أَرْضِOf the land
And the western parts of itوَمَغَارِبَهَاCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+مَغَارِبَThe western parts of+هَاher / it / its
WhichالَّتِيI
We blessedبَارَكْنَاF
[in it]فِيهَاCBHP+PRONATTفِي[in it]+هَاher / it / its
And was fulfilledوَتَمَّتْCBFCONJ+Vوَand+تَمَّتْWas fulfilled
The wordكَلِمَتُI
Of your LordرَبِّكَCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّOf your Lord+كَyou / your
The bestالْحُسْنَىIالthe+حُسْنَىBest
ForعَلَىH
The childrenبَنِيI
Of israelإِسْرَائِيلَI
BecauseبِمَاCBHP+SUBبِwith / in+مَاBecause
They were patientصَبَرُواF
And we destroyedوَدَمَّرْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+دَمَّرْنَاWe destroyed
WhatمَاI
Used toكَانَF
MakeيَصْنَعُF
PharaohفِرْعَوْنُI
And his peopleوَقَوْمُهُCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+قَوْمُHis people+هُhim / his / it
And whatوَمَاCBICONJ+RELوَand+مَاWhat
They used toكَانُواF
ErectيَعْرِشُونَF

وَجَٰوَزْنَا بِبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَأَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ يَعْكُفُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَصْنَامٍ لَّهُمْ ۚ قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَى ٱجْعَل لَّنَآ إِلَٰهًا كَمَا لَهُمْ ءَالِهَةٌ ۚ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ ﴿138﴾

And We took the Children of Israel across the sea; then they came upon a people intent in devotion to [some] idols of theirs. They said, "O Moses, make for us a god just as they have gods." He said, "Indeed, you are a people behaving ignorantly.

Of theirsلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
They saidقَالُواF
O mosesيَامُوسَىCBIVOC+PNيَاO+مُوسَىMoses
MakeاجْعَلْF
For usلَنَاCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَاus / our
A godإِلَهًاI
Like whatكَمَاCBHP+SUBكَlike+مَاWhat
They haveلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
GodsآلِهَةٌI
He saidقَالَF
Indeed youإِنَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Are a peopleقَوْمٌI
IgnorantتَجْهَلُونَF

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَّا هُمْ فِيهِ وَبَٰطِلٌ مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿139﴾

Indeed, those [worshippers] - destroyed is that in which they are [engaged], and worthless is whatever they were doing."

قَالَ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَٰهًا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿140﴾

He said, "Is it other than Allah I should desire for you as a god while He has preferred you over the worlds?"

Has preferred youفَضَّلَكُمْCBFV+PRONATTفَضَّلَHas preferred+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
OverعَلَىH
The worldsالْعَالَمِينَIالthe+عَالَمِينَWorlds

وَإِذْ أَنجَيْنَٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ۖ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ ﴿141﴾

And [recall, O Children of Israel], when We saved you from the people of Pharaoh, [who were] afflicting you with the worst torment - killing your sons and keeping your women alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.

Of tormentالْعَذَابِIالthe+عَذَابِOf torment
They were killingيُقَتِّلُونَF
Your sonsأَبْنَاءَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَبْنَاءَYour sons+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And letting liveوَيَسْتَحْيُونَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَسْتَحْيُونَLetting live
Your womenنِسَاءَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTنِسَاءَYour women+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And inوَفِيCBHCONJ+Pوَand+فِيIn
ThatذَلِكُمْI
Was a trialبَلَاءٌI
FromمِنْH
Your LordرَبِّكُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّYour Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
GreatعَظِيمٌI
