يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَعْلَمُوا۟ مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِى سَبِيلٍ حَتَّىٰ تَغْتَسِلُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا ﴿43﴾
O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.

← read from right to left1O youيَاأَيُّهَاya'ayyuhaH 5Go nearتَقْرَبُواtaqrabuF 6The prayerالصَّلَاةَl-salataIالthe+صَلَاةَPrayer 8Are intoxicatedسُكَارَىsukaraI 10You knowتَعْلَمُواta'lamuF 12You are sayingتَقُولُونَtaqulunaF 14When you are impureجُنُبًاjunubanI 15ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 16When passingعَابِرِي'abiriI 17Through a wayسَبِيلٍsabilinI 19You have bathedتَغْتَسِلُواtaghtasiluF 25A journeyسَفَرٍsafarinI 29Of youمِنْكُمْminkumCBHP+PRONATTمِنْOf+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 31The toiletالْغَائِطِl-gha'itiIالthe+غَائِطِToilet 33You have touchedلَامَسْتُمُlamastumuF 34The womenالنِّسَاءَl-nisa'aIالthe+نِسَاءَWomen 35And notفَلَمْfalamCBHCONJ+NEGفَso / then+لَمْAnd not 36You findتَجِدُواtajiduF 38Then doفَتَيَمَّمُواfatayammamuCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+تَيَمَّمُواDo 39With earthصَعِيدًاsa'idanI 41And wipe with itفَامْسَحُواfa-imsahuCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+امْسَحُواAnd wipe with it 42Your facesبِوُجُوهِكُمْbiwujuhikumCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+وُجُوهِYour faces+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 43And your handsوَأَيْدِيكُمْwa-aydikumCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+أَيْدِيYour hands+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 47Oft pardoningعَفُوًّا'afuwwanI 48Oft forgivingغَفُورًاghafuranI أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ ﴿44﴾
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, purchasing error [in exchange for it] and wishing you would lose the way?

And Allah is most knowing of your enemies; and sufficient is Allah as an ally, and sufficient is Allah as a helper.

← read from right to left1And Allahوَاللَّهُwal-lahuCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُAllah 2Knows betterأَعْلَمُa'lamuI 3About your enemiesبِأَعْدَائِكُمْbi-a'da'ikumCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+أَعْدَائِAbout your enemies+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 4And Allah is sufficientوَكَفَىwakafaCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَفَىAllah is sufficient 5And Allah is sufficientبِاللَّهِbil-lahiCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِAnd Allah is sufficient 6As a protectorوَلِيًّاwaliyyanI 7And sufficientوَكَفَىwakafaCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَفَىSufficient 8Is Allahبِاللَّهِbil-lahiCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِIs Allah 9As a helperنَصِيرًاnasiranI مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَٰعِنَا لَيًّۢا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَٱسْمَعْ وَٱنظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَٰكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ﴿46﴾
Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

O you who were given the Scripture, believe in what We have sent down [to Muhammad], confirming that which is with you, before We obliterate faces and turn them toward their backs or curse them as We cursed the sabbath-breakers. And ever is the decree of Allah accomplished.

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.

Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed].
