يَسْـَٔلُكَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَٰبًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ فَقَدْ سَأَلُوا۟ مُوسَىٰٓ أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَرِنَا ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْ ۚ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَن ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ سُلْطَٰنًا مُّبِينًا ﴿153﴾

The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.

A BookكِتَابًاI
FromمِنَH
The heavenالسَّمَاءِIالthe+سَمَاءِHeaven
Then indeedفَقَدْCBHCONJ+CERTفَso / then+قَدْIndeed
They had askedسَأَلُواF
MosesمُوسَىI
GreaterأَكْبَرَI
ThanمِنْH
ThatذَلِكَI
For they saidفَقَالُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+قَالُواFor they said
Show usأَرِنَاCBFV+PRONATTأَرِShow+نَاus / our
AllahاللَّهَI
ManifestlyجَهْرَةًI
So struck themفَأَخَذَتْهُمُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَخَذَتْStruck+هُمُthem / their
The thunderboltالصَّاعِقَةُIالthe+صَاعِقَةُThunderbolt
For their wrongdoingبِظُلْمِهِمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+ظُلْمِFor their wrongdoing+هِمْthem / their
ThenثُمَّH
They tookاتَّخَذُواF
The calf for worshipالْعِجْلَIالthe+عِجْلَCalf for worship
AfterمِنْH
AfterبَعْدِI
[what]مَاH
Came to themجَاءَتْهُمُCBFV+PRONATTجَاءَتْCame to+هُمُthem / their
The clear proofsالْبَيِّنَاتُIالthe+بَيِّنَاتُClear proofs
Then we forgave themفَعَفَوْنَاCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+عَفَوْنَاWe forgave them
ForعَنْH
ThatذَلِكَI
And we gaveوَآتَيْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+آتَيْنَاWe gave
MosesمُوسَىI
An authorityسُلْطَانًاI
ClearمُبِينًاI

وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا۟ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظًا ﴿154﴾

And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, "Enter the gate bowing humbly", and We said to them, "Do not transgress on the sabbath", and We took from them a solemn covenant.

The mountالطُّورَIالthe+طُورَMount
For their covenantبِمِيثَاقِهِمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+مِيثَاقِFor their covenant+هِمْthem / their
And we saidوَقُلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قُلْنَاWe said
To themلَهُمُCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمُthem / their
EnterادْخُلُواF
The gateالْبَابَIالthe+بَابَGate
ProstratingسُجَّدًاI
And we saidوَقُلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قُلْنَاWe said
To themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
Do notلَاH
TransgressتَعْدُواF
InفِيH
The sabbathالسَّبْتِIالthe+سَبْتِSabbath
And we tookوَأَخَذْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَخَذْنَاWe took
From themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هُمْthem / their
A covenantمِيثَاقًاI
SolemnغَلِيظًاI

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِم بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌۢ ۚ بَلْ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ﴿155﴾

And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

And their disbeliefوَكُفْرِهِمْCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+كُفْرِTheir disbelief+هِمْthem / their
In the signsبِآيَاتِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+آيَاتِThe signs
Of AllahاللَّهِI
And their killingوَقَتْلِهِمُCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+قَتْلِTheir killing+هِمُthem / their
Of the prophetsالْأَنْبِيَاءَIالthe+أَنْبِيَاءَOf the prophets
WithoutبِغَيْرِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+غَيْرِWithout
Any rightحَقٍّI
And their sayingوَقَوْلِهِمْCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+قَوْلِTheir saying+هِمْthem / their
Our heartsقُلُوبُنَاCBIN+PRONATTقُلُوبُOur hearts+نَاus / our
Are wrappedغُلْفٌI
NayبَلْH
Allah has set a sealطَبَعَF
Allah has set a sealاللَّهُI
On their heartsعَلَيْهَاCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىOn their hearts+هَاher / it / its
For their disbeliefبِكُفْرِهِمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+كُفْرِFor their disbelief+هِمْthem / their
So notفَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGفَso / then+لَاNot
They believeيُؤْمِنُونَF
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
A fewقَلِيلًاI

وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَٰنًا عَظِيمًا ﴿156﴾

And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander,

And their sayingوَقَوْلِهِمْCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+قَوْلِTheir saying+هِمْthem / their
AgainstعَلَىH
MaryمَرْيَمَI
A slanderبُهْتَانًاI
GreatعَظِيمًاI

وَقَوْلِهِمْ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا ٱلْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلَّا ٱتِّبَاعَ ٱلظَّنِّ ۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينًۢا ﴿157﴾

And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.

JesusعِيسَىI
SonابْنَI
Of maryمَرْيَمَI
The MessengerرَسُولَI
Of AllahاللَّهِI
And notوَمَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+مَاNot
They killed himقَتَلُوهُCBFV+PRONATTقَتَلُوThey killed+هُhim / his / it
And notوَمَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+مَاNot
They crucified himصَلَبُوهُCBFV+PRONATTصَلَبُوThey crucified+هُhim / his / it
ButوَلَكِنْCBHCONJ+AMDوَand+لَكِنْBut
It was made to appear soشُبِّهَF
To themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
And indeedوَإِنَّCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+إِنَّIndeed
Those whoالَّذِينَI
DifferاخْتَلَفُواF
In itفِيهِCBHP+PRONATTفِيIn+هِhim / his / it
Are surely inلَفِيCBHLAM+Pلَfor / to+فِيAre surely in
DoubtشَكٍّI
About itمِنْهُCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAbout+هُhim / his / it
NotمَاH
For themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
About itبِهِCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هِhim / his / it
[of]مِنْH
Any knowledgeعِلْمٍI
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
The followingاتِّبَاعَI
Of assumptionالظَّنِّIالthe+ظَنِّOf assumption
And notوَمَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+مَاNot
They killed himقَتَلُوهُCBFV+PRONATTقَتَلُوThey killed+هُhim / his / it
CertainlyيَقِينًاI

بَل رَّفَعَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا ﴿158﴾

Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.

NayبَلْH
Allah raised himرَفَعَهُCBFV+PRONATTرَفَعَAllah raised+هُhim / his / it
Allah raised himاللَّهُI
Towards himإِلَيْهِCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTowards+هِhim / his / it
And Allah isوَكَانَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانَAllah is
And Allah isاللَّهُI
All mightyعَزِيزًاI
All wiseحَكِيمًاI

وَإِن مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِۦ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا ﴿159﴾

And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.

Surely he believesلَيُؤْمِنَنَّCBFLAM+V+PRONATTلَfor / to+يُؤْمِنَSurely he believes+نَّemphasis

BeforeقَبْلَI
His deathمَوْتِهِCBIN+PRONATTمَوْتِHis death+هِhim / his / it
And on the dayوَيَوْمَCBICONJ+Tوَand+يَوْمَOn the day
Of the resurrectionالْقِيَامَةِIالthe+قِيَامَةِOf the resurrection
He will beيَكُونُF
Against themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىAgainst+هِمْthem / their
A witnessشَهِيدًاI

فَبِظُلْمٍ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ طَيِّبَٰتٍ أُحِلَّتْ لَهُمْ وَبِصَدِّهِمْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ كَثِيرًا ﴿160﴾

For wrongdoing on the part of the Jews, We made unlawful for them [certain] good foods which had been lawful to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many [people],

Then for the wrongdoingفَبِظُلْمٍCBICONJ+P+Nفَso / then+بِwith / in+ظُلْمٍFor the wrongdoing
OfمِنَH
Those whoالَّذِينَI
Were jewsهَادُواF
We made unlawfulحَرَّمْنَاF
For themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىFor+هِمْthem / their
Good thingsطَيِّبَاتٍI
Which had been lawfulأُحِلَّتْF
For themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
And for their hinderingوَبِصَدِّهِمْCBICONJ+P+N+PRONATTوَand+بِwith / in+صَدِّFor their hindering+هِمْthem / their
FromعَنْH
The wayسَبِيلِI
Of AllahاللَّهِI
ManyكَثِيرًاI

وَأَخْذِهِمُ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ وَقَدْ نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَكْلِهِمْ أَمْوَٰلَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ ۚ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا ﴿161﴾

And [for] their taking of usury while they had been forbidden from it, and their consuming of the people's wealth unjustly. And we have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.

Of [the] usuryالرِّبَاIالthe+رِبَاOf [the] usury
While certainlyوَقَدْCBHCONJ+CERTوَand+قَدْWhile certainly
They were forbiddenنُهُواF
From itعَنْهُCBHP+PRONATTعَنْFrom+هُhim / his / it
And for their consumingوَأَكْلِهِمْCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+أَكْلِFor their consuming+هِمْthem / their
WealthأَمْوَالَI
Of the peopleالنَّاسِIالthe+نَاسِOf the people
WrongfullyبِالْبَاطِلِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+بَاطِلِWrongfully
And we have preparedوَأَعْتَدْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَعْتَدْنَاWe have prepared
For the disbelieversلِلْكَافِرِينَCBIP+Nلِلfor the+كَافِرِينَDisbelievers
Among themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAmong+هُمْthem / their
A punishmentعَذَابًاI
PainfulأَلِيمًاI

لَّٰكِنِ ٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ فِى ٱلْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ۚ وَٱلْمُقِيمِينَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚ وَٱلْمُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ سَنُؤْتِيهِمْ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا ﴿162﴾

But those firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you. And the establishers of prayer [especially] and the givers of zakah and the believers in Allah and the Last Day - those We will give a great reward.

The ones who are firmالرَّاسِخُونَIالthe+رَاسِخُونَOnes who are firm
InفِيH
The knowledgeالْعِلْمِIالthe+عِلْمِKnowledge
Among themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAmong+هُمْthem / their
And the believersوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+مُؤْمِنُونَBelievers
BelieveيُؤْمِنُونَF
In whatبِمَاCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاWhat
Is revealedأُنْزِلَF
To youإِلَيْكَCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTo+كَyou / your
And whatوَمَاCBICONJ+RELوَand+مَاWhat
Was revealedأُنْزِلَF
Before youمِنْH
Before youقَبْلِكَCBIN+PRONATTقَبْلِBefore+كَyou / your
And the ones who establishوَالْمُقِيمِينَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+مُقِيمِينَOnes who establish
The prayerالصَّلَاةَIالthe+صَلَاةَPrayer
And the ones who giveوَالْمُؤْتُونَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+مُؤْتُونَOnes who give
The zakahالزَّكَاةَIالthe+زَكَاةَZakah
And the ones who believeوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+مُؤْمِنُونَOnes who believe
In AllahبِاللَّهِCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِAllah
And the dayوَالْيَوْمِCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+يَوْمِDay
The lastالْآخِرِIالthe+آخِرِLast
ThoseأُولَئِكَI
We will give themسَنُؤْتِيهِمْCBFFUT+V+PRONATTسَwill+نُؤْتِيWe will give+هِمْthem / their
A great rewardأَجْرًاI
A great rewardعَظِيمًاI
