وَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَ فِى ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِيهِنَّ وَمَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ فِى يَتَٰمَى ٱلنِّسَآءِ ٱلَّٰتِى لَا تُؤْتُونَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُونَ أَن تَنكِحُوهُنَّ وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ وَأَن تَقُومُوا۟ لِلْيَتَٰمَىٰ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا۟ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمًا ﴿127﴾
And they request from you, [O Muhammad], a [legal] ruling concerning women. Say, "Allah gives you a ruling about them and [about] what has been recited to you in the Book concerning the orphan girls to whom you do not give what is decreed for them - and [yet] you desire to marry them - and concerning the oppressed among children and that you maintain for orphans [their rights] in justice." And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is ever Knowing of it.

← read from right to left1And they seek your rulingوَيَسْتَفْتُونَكَwayastaftunakaCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+يَسْتَفْتُونَThey seek your ruling+كَyou / your 3The womenالنِّسَاءِl-nisa'iIالthe+نِسَاءِWomen 6Gives you the rulingيُفْتِيكُمْyuftikumCBFV+PRONATTيُفْتِيGives you the ruling+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 7About themفِيهِنَّfihinnaCBHP+PRONATTفِيAbout+هِنَّthem / their (f.) 10To youعَلَيْكُمْ'alaykumCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىTo+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 12The Bookالْكِتَابِl-kitabiIالthe+كِتَابِBook 15[the] girlsالنِّسَاءِl-nisa'iIالthe+نِسَاءِ[the] girls 16To whomاللَّاتِيallatiI 17You do not give themلَاlaH 18You do not give themتُؤْتُونَهُنَّtu'tunahunnaCBFV+PRONATTتُؤْتُونَYou do not give+هُنَّthem / their (f.) 20Is ordainedكُتِبَkutibaF 21For themلَهُنَّlahunnaCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُنَّthem / their (f.) 22And you desireوَتَرْغَبُونَwatarghabunaCBFCONJ+Vوَand+تَرْغَبُونَYou desire 24Marry themتَنْكِحُوهُنَّtankihuhunnaCBFV+PRONATTتَنْكِحُوMarry+هُنَّthem / their (f.) 25And the ones who are weakوَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَwal-mustad'afinaCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+مُسْتَضْعَفِينَOnes who are weak 27The childrenالْوِلْدَانِl-wildaniIالthe+وِلْدَانِChildren 30For orphansلِلْيَتَامَىlilyatamaCBIP+Nلِلfor the+يَتَامَىOrphans 31With justiceبِالْقِسْطِbil-qistiCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+قِسْطِJustice 33You doتَفْعَلُواtaf'aluF 36Then indeedفَإِنَّfa-innaCBHCONJ+ACCفَso / then+إِنَّIndeed 39About itبِهِbihiCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هِhim / his / it 40All knowingعَلِيمًا'alimanI وَإِنِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنۢ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ أَن يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا ۚ وَٱلصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ ۗ وَأُحْضِرَتِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ ٱلشُّحَّ ۚ وَإِن تُحْسِنُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا ﴿128﴾
And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them - and settlement is best. And present in [human] souls is stinginess. But if you do good and fear Allah - then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

← read from right to left2A womanامْرَأَةٌimra'atunI 5Her husbandبَعْلِهَاba'lihaCBIN+PRONATTبَعْلِHer husband+هَاher / it / its 6Ill conductنُشُوزًاnushuzanI 8Desertionإِعْرَاضًاi'radanI 9Then there is noفَلَاfalaCBHCONJ+NEGفَso / then+لَاThere is no 11On both of themعَلَيْهِمَا'alayhimaCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىOn both of+هِمَاthem two 13They make terms of peaceيُصْلِحَاyuslihaF 14Between themselvesبَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumaCBILOC+PRONATTبَيْنَBetween+هُمَاthem two 15A reconciliationصُلْحًاsulhanI 16And [the] reconciliationوَالصُّلْحُwal-sulhuCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+صُلْحُ[the] reconciliation 18And are swayedوَأُحْضِرَتِwa-uhdiratiCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أُحْضِرَتِAre swayed 19The soulsالْأَنْفُسُl-anfusuIالthe+أَنْفُسُSouls 20By greedالشُّحَّl-shuhaIالthe+شُحَّBy greed 22You do goodتُحْسِنُواtuhsinuF 23And fear AllahوَتَتَّقُواwatattaquCBFCONJ+Vوَand+تَتَّقُواFear Allah 24Then indeedفَإِنَّfa-innaCBHCONJ+ACCفَso / then+إِنَّIndeed 27Of whatبِمَاbimaCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاOf what 28You doتَعْمَلُونَta'malunaF 29All awareخَبِيرًاkhabiranI وَلَن تَسْتَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَن تَعْدِلُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَمِيلُوا۟ كُلَّ ٱلْمَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوهَا كَٱلْمُعَلَّقَةِ ۚ وَإِن تُصْلِحُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا ﴿129﴾
And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each [of them] from His abundance. And ever is Allah Encompassing and Wise.

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And We have instructed those who were given the Scripture before you and yourselves to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve - then to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah Free of need and Praiseworthy.

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

If He wills, He can do away with you, O people, and bring others [in your place]. And ever is Allah competent to do that.

Whoever desires the reward of this world - then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter. And ever is Allah Hearing and Seeing.
