الٓمٓ ﴿1﴾

He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.

Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Qur'an. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.

Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.

It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

← read from right to left2Is the one whoالَّذِيalladhiI 3Shapes youيُصَوِّرُكُمْyusawwirukumCBFV+PRONATTيُصَوِّرُShapes+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 5The wombsالْأَرْحَامِl-arhamiIالthe+أَرْحَامِWombs 10ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 12The all mightyالْعَزِيزُl-'azizuIالthe+عَزِيزُAll mighty 13The all wiseالْحَكِيمُl-hakimuIالthe+حَكِيمُAll wise هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِنْهُ ءَايَٰتٌ مُّحْكَمَٰتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٌ ۖ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَٰبَهَ مِنْهُ ٱبْتِغَآءَ ٱلْفِتْنَةِ وَٱبْتِغَآءَ تَأْوِيلِهِۦ ۗ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۗ وَٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ فِى ٱلْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ رَبِّنَا ۗ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلَّآ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ ﴿7﴾
It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.

← read from right to left2Is the one whoالَّذِيalladhiI 5The Bookالْكِتَابَl-kitabaIالthe+كِتَابَBook 8Absolutely clearمُحْكَمَاتٌmuhkamatunI 10The foundationأُمُّummuI 11Of the Bookالْكِتَابِl-kitabiIالthe+كِتَابِOf the Book 12And othersوَأُخَرُwa-ukharuCBICONJ+Nوَand+أُخَرُOthers 13Are allegoricalمُتَشَابِهَاتٌmutashabihatunI 14Then as forفَأَمَّاfa-ammaCBHCONJ+CONDفَso / then+أَمْor=مَاwhat 15ThoseالَّذِينَalladhinaI 17Their heartsقُلُوبِهِمْqulubihimCBIN+PRONATTقُلُوبِTheir hearts+هِمْthem / their 18Is perversityزَيْغٌzayghunI 19[so] they followفَيَتَّبِعُونَfayattabi'unaCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+يَتَّبِعُونَ[so] they follow 21Is allegoricalتَشَابَهَtashabahaF 23Seekingابْتِغَاءَibtigha'aI 24[the] discordالْفِتْنَةِl-fitnatiIالthe+فِتْنَةِ[the] discord 25And seekingوَابْتِغَاءَwa-ibtigha'aCBICONJ+Nوَand+ابْتِغَاءَSeeking 26Its interpretationتَأْوِيلِهِta'wilihiCBIN+PRONATTتَأْوِيلِIts interpretation+هِhim / his / it 29Its interpretationتَأْوِيلَهُta'wilahuCBIN+PRONATTتَأْوِيلَIts interpretation+هُhim / his / it 30ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 32And those firmوَالرَّاسِخُونَwal-rasikhunaCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+رَاسِخُونَThose firm 34[the] knowledgeالْعِلْمِl-'ilmiIالthe+عِلْمِ[the] knowledge 35They sayيَقُولُونَyaqulunaF 36We believeآمَنَّاamannaF 37In itبِهِbihiCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هِhim / his / it 41Our LordرَبِّنَاrabbinaCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّOur Lord+نَاus / our 43Will take heedيَذَّكَّرُyadhakkaruF 44ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 46Of understandingالْأَلْبَابِl-albabiIالthe+أَلْبَابِOf understanding رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ ﴿8﴾
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise."
