وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَٰعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿121﴾

And [remember] when you, [O Muhammad], left your family in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle [of Uhud] - and Allah is Hearing and Knowing -

Word by word

And whenوَإِذْCBICONJ+Tوَand+إِذْWhen
You left early morningغَدَوْتَF
FromمِنْH
Your householdأَهْلِكَCBIN+PRONATTأَهْلِYour household+كَyou / your
To postتُبَوِّئُF
The believersالْمُؤْمِنِينَIالthe+مُؤْمِنِينَBelievers
To take positionsمَقَاعِدَI
For the battleلِلْقِتَالِCBIP+Nلِلfor the+قِتَالِBattle
And AllahوَاللَّهُCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُAllah
Is all hearingسَمِيعٌI
All knowingعَلِيمٌI

إِذْ هَمَّت طَّآئِفَتَانِ مِنكُمْ أَن تَفْشَلَا وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا ۗ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿122﴾

When two parties among you were about to lose courage, but Allah was their ally; and upon Allah the believers should rely.

InclinedهَمَّتْF
Two partiesطَائِفَتَانِI
Among youمِنْكُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAmong+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
ThatأَنْH
They lost heartتَفْشَلَاF
But AllahوَاللَّهُCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُBut Allah
Was their protectorوَلِيُّهُمَاCBIN+PRONATTوَلِيُّWas their protector+هُمَاthem two
And onوَعَلَىCBHCONJ+Pوَand+عَلَىOn
AllahاللَّهِI
Let put their trustفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِCBFCONJ+LAM+Vفَso / then+لْfor / to+لِيَتَوَكَّلْLet put their trust
The believersالْمُؤْمِنُونَIالthe+مُؤْمِنُونَBelievers

وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿123﴾

And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah; perhaps you will be grateful.

And certainlyوَلَقَدْCBHCONJ+CERTوَand+لَقَدْCertainly
Helped youنَصَرَكُمُCBFV+PRONATTنَصَرَHelped+كُمُyou / your (pl.)
AllahاللَّهُI
In badrبِبَدْرٍCBIP+PNبِwith / in+بَدْرٍBadr
While you wereوَأَنْتُمْCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+أَنْتُمْWhile you were
WeakأَذِلَّةٌI
So fearفَاتَّقُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+اتَّقُواFear
AllahاللَّهَI
So that you mayلَعَلَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTلَعَلَّSo that you may+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Be gratefulتَشْكُرُونَF

إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَن يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَن يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِثَلَٰثَةِ ءَالَٰفٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُنزَلِينَ ﴿124﴾

[Remember] when you said to the believers, "Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?

Is it notأَلَنْCBHINTG+NEGأَis it? / did?+لَنْIt not
Enough for youيَكْفِيَكُمْCBFV+PRONATTيَكْفِيَEnough for+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
ThatأَنْH
Reinforces youيُمِدَّكُمْCBFV+PRONATTيُمِدَّReinforces+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Your LordرَبُّكُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّYour Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
With threeبِثَلَاثَةِCBIP+NUMبِwith / in+ثَلَاثَةِThree
Thousand[s]آلَافٍI
[of]مِنَH
[the] angelsالْمَلَائِكَةِIالthe+مَلَائِكَةِ[the] angels
[the ones] sent downمُنْزَلِينَI

بَلَىٰٓ ۚ إِن تَصْبِرُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ وَيَأْتُوكُم مِّن فَوْرِهِمْ هَٰذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِخَمْسَةِ ءَالَٰفٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ ﴿125﴾

Yes, if you remain patient and conscious of Allah and the enemy come upon you [attacking] in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction]

You are patientتَصْبِرُواF
And fear AllahوَتَتَّقُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+تَتَّقُواFear Allah
And they come upon youوَيَأْتُوكُمْCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+يَأْتُوThey come upon+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
[of]مِنْH
SuddenlyفَوْرِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTفَوْرِSuddenly+هِمْthem / their
[this]هَذَاI
Will reinforce youيُمْدِدْكُمْCBFV+PRONATTيُمْدِدْWill reinforce+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Your LordرَبُّكُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّYour Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
With fiveبِخَمْسَةِCBIP+NUMبِwith / in+خَمْسَةِFive
Thousand[s]آلَافٍI
[of]مِنَH
[the] angelsالْمَلَائِكَةِIالthe+مَلَائِكَةِ[the] angels
[the ones] having marksمُسَوِّمِينَI

وَمَا جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُم بِهِۦ ۗ وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ﴿126﴾

And Allah made it not except as [a sign of] good tidings for you and to reassure your hearts thereby. And victory is not except from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise -

Made itجَعَلَهُCBFV+PRONATTجَعَلَMade+هُhim / his / it
AllahاللَّهُI
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
As good newsبُشْرَىI
For youلَكُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
And to reassureوَلِتَطْمَئِنَّCBFCONJ+P+Vوَand+لِfor / to+تَطْمَئِنَّReassure
Your heartsقُلُوبُكُمْCBIN+PRONATTقُلُوبُYour hearts+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
With itبِهِCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هِhim / his / it
And there is noوَمَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+مَاThere is no
[the] victoryالنَّصْرُIالthe+نَصْرُ[the] victory
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
FromمِنْH
[near]عِنْدِI
AllahاللَّهِI
The all mightyالْعَزِيزِIالthe+عَزِيزِAll mighty
The all wiseالْحَكِيمِIالthe+حَكِيمِAll wise

لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَآئِبِينَ ﴿127﴾

That He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed.

That he may cut offلِيَقْطَعَCBFP+Vلِfor / to+يَقْطَعَThat he may cut off
A partطَرَفًاI
OfمِنَH
Those whoالَّذِينَI
DisbelievedكَفَرُواF
OrأَوْH
Suppress themيَكْبِتَهُمْCBFV+PRONATTيَكْبِتَSuppress+هُمْthem / their
So that they turn backفَيَنْقَلِبُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+يَنْقَلِبُواThat they turn back
DisappointedخَائِبِينَI

لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ شَىْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ ﴿128﴾

Not for you, [O Muhammad, but for Allah], is the decision whether He should [cut them down] or forgive them or punish them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers.

For indeed theyفَإِنَّهُمْCBHCONJ+ACC+PRONATTفَso / then+إِنَّFor indeed+هُمْthem / their
Are wrongdoersظَالِمُونَI

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿129﴾

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

And punishesوَيُعَذِّبُCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يُعَذِّبُPunishes
WhomمَنْI
He willsيَشَاءُF
And AllahوَاللَّهُCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُAllah
Is oft forgivingغَفُورٌI
Most MercifulرَحِيمٌI
