ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَ ۖ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ ﴿1﴾
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord.

It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.

Created youخَلَقَكُمْCBFV+PRONATTخَلَقَCreated+كُمْyou / your (pl.) And a termوَأَجَلٌCBICONJ+Nوَand+أَجَلٌA term وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ ﴿3﴾
And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn.

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom.

For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule.

The truthبِالْحَقِّCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+حَقِّTruth It came to themجَاءَهُمْCBFV+PRONATTجَاءَIt came to+هُمْthem / their But soonفَسَوْفَCBHCONJ+FUTفَso / then+سَوْفَBut soon Will come to themيَأْتِيهِمْCBFV+PRONATTيَأْتِيWill come to+هِمْthem / their أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ ﴿6﴾
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.

And we sentوَأَرْسَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَرْسَلْنَاWe sent Rain from the skyالسَّمَاءَIالthe+سَمَاءَRain from the sky Upon themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىUpon+هِمْthem / their Showering abundantlyمِدْرَارًاI And we madeوَجَعَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+جَعَلْنَاWe made The riversالْأَنْهَارَIالthe+أَنْهَارَRivers Underneath themتَحْتِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTتَحْتِUnderneath+هِمْthem / their Then we destroyed themفَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyed+هُمْthem / their For their sinsبِذُنُوبِهِمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+ذُنُوبِFor their sins+هِمْthem / their And we raisedوَأَنْشَأْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَنْشَأْنَاWe raised After themبَعْدِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTبَعْدِAfter+هِمْthem / their Other generationsقَرْنًاI Other generationsآخَرِينَI وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَٰبًا فِى قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿7﴾
And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic."

We had sent downنَزَّلْنَاF A written scriptureكِتَابًاI And they touched itفَلَمَسُوهُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+لَمَسُوAnd they touched+هُhim / his / it With their handsبِأَيْدِيهِمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+أَيْدِيTheir hands+هِمْthem / their Surely would have saidلَقَالَCBFLAM+Vلَfor / to+قَالَSurely would have said وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ ۖ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ ﴿8﴾
And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved.

And they saidوَقَالُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَالُواThey said We had sent downأَنْزَلْنَاF Surely would have been decidedلَقُضِيَCBFLAM+Vلَfor / to+قُضِيَSurely would have been decided The matterالْأَمْرُIالthe+أَمْرُMatter Respite would have beenيُنْظَرُونَF وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ ﴿9﴾
And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves.

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.
