لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ ﴿78﴾

Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.

They disobeyedعَصَوْاF
And they wereوَكَانُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانُواThey were
TransgressingيَعْتَدُونَF

كَانُوا۟ لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿79﴾

They used not to prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing.

DoingيَفْعَلُونَF

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِى ٱلْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ ﴿80﴾

You see many of them becoming allies of those who disbelieved. How wretched is that which they have put forth for themselves in that Allah has become angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide eternally.

Taking as alliesيَتَوَلَّوْنَF

Sent forthقَدَّمَتْF
For themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
Their soulsأَنْفُسُهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَنْفُسُTheir souls+هُمْthem / their
ThatأَنْH
Allah became angryسَخِطَF
Allah became angryاللَّهُI
With themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىWith+هِمْthem / their
And inوَفِيCBHCONJ+Pوَand+فِيIn
The punishmentالْعَذَابِIالthe+عَذَابِPunishment
TheyهُمْI
Will abide foreverخَالِدُونَI

وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِىِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ ﴿81﴾

And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

And ifوَلَوْCBHCONJ+CONDوَand+لَوْIf
They hadكَانُواF
BelievedيُؤْمِنُونَF
In AllahبِاللَّهِCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِAllah
And the ProphetوَالنَّبِيِّCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+نَبِيِّProphet
And whatوَمَاCBICONJ+RELوَand+مَاWhat
Has been revealedأُنْزِلَF
To himإِلَيْهِCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTo+هِhim / his / it
NotمَاH
They would have taken themاتَّخَذُوهُمْCBFV+PRONATTاتَّخَذُوThey would have taken+هُمْthem / their
As alliesأَوْلِيَاءَI
[and] butوَلَكِنَّCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+لَكِنَّ[and] but
ManyكَثِيرًاI
Of themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْOf+هُمْthem / their
Are defiantly disobedientفَاسِقُونَI

لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ﴿82﴾

You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.

StrongestأَشَدَّI
Of the peopleالنَّاسِIالthe+نَاسِOf the people

To those whoلِلَّذِينَCBIP+RELلِfor / to+الَّذِينَThose who
BelieveآمَنُواF
The jewsالْيَهُودَIالthe+يَهُودَJews
And those whoوَالَّذِينَCBICONJ+RELوَand+الَّذِينَThose who
Are polytheistsأَشْرَكُواF
And surely you will findوَلَتَجِدَنَّCBFCONJ+LAM+V+PRONATTوَand+لَfor / to+تَجِدَSurely you will find+نَّemphasis
Nearest of themأَقْرَبَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَقْرَبَNearest of+هُمْthem / their
In affectionمَوَدَّةًI
To those whoلِلَّذِينَCBIP+RELلِfor / to+الَّذِينَThose who
BelieveآمَنُواF
Those whoالَّذِينَI
SayقَالُواF
WeإِنَّاCBHACC+PRONATTإِWe+ناus / our
Are christiansنَصَارَىI
That isذَلِكَI
BecauseبِأَنَّCBHP+ACCبِwith / in+أَنَّBecause
Among themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAmong+هُمْthem / their
Are priestsقِسِّيسِينَI
And monksوَرُهْبَانًاCBICONJ+Nوَand+رُهْبَانًاMonks
And that theyوَأَنَّهُمْCBHCONJ+ACC+PRONATTوَand+أَنَّThat+هُمْthem / their
Are notلَاH
ArrogantيَسْتَكْبِرُونَF

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ ﴿83﴾

And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses.

They listenسَمِعُواF

Has been revealedأُنْزِلَF

The MessengerالرَّسُولِIالthe+رَسُولِMessenger
You seeتَرَىF
Their eyesأَعْيُنَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَعْيُنَTheir eyes+هُمْthem / their
OverflowingتَفِيضُF
WithمِنَH
The tearsالدَّمْعِIالthe+دَمْعِTears
For whatمِمَّاCBIP+RELمِنfrom / of=مَاwhat
They recognizedعَرَفُواF
OfمِنَH
The truthالْحَقِّIالthe+حَقِّTruth
They sayيَقُولُونَF
Our LordرَبَّنَاCBIN+PRONATTرَبَّOur Lord+نَاus / our
We have believedآمَنَّاF
So write usفَاكْتُبْنَاCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+اكْتُبْWrite+نَاus / our
WithمَعَI
The witnessesالشَّاهِدِينَIالthe+شَاهِدِينَWitnesses

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿84﴾

And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people."

We believeنُؤْمِنُF
In AllahبِاللَّهِCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِAllah
And whatوَمَاCBICONJ+RELوَand+مَاWhat
Came to usجَاءَنَاCBFV+PRONATTجَاءَCame to+نَاus / our
FromمِنَH
The truthالْحَقِّIالthe+حَقِّTruth
And we hopeوَنَطْمَعُCBFCONJ+Vوَand+نَطْمَعُWe hope
ThatأَنْH
Will admit usيُدْخِلَنَاCBFV+PRONATTيُدْخِلَWill admit+نَاus / our
Our LordرَبُّنَاCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّOur Lord+نَاus / our
WithمَعَI
The righteous peopleالْقَوْمِIالthe+قَوْمِRighteous people
The righteous peopleالصَّالِحِينَIالthe+صَالِحِينَRighteous people

فَأَثَٰبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿85﴾

So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of doers of good.

With gardensجَنَّاتٍI
FlowsتَجْرِيF

Underneath themتَحْتِهَاCBIN+PRONATTتَحْتِUnderneath+هَاher / it / its
The riversالْأَنْهَارُIالthe+أَنْهَارُRivers
Will abide foreverخَالِدِينَI
In itفِيهَاCBHP+PRONATTفِيIn+هَاher / it / its
And thatوَذَلِكَCBICONJ+DEMوَand+ذَلِكَThat
Is the rewardجَزَاءُI
Of the good doersالْمُحْسِنِينَIالthe+مُحْسِنِينَOf the good doers

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿86﴾

But those who disbelieved and denied Our signs - they are the companions of Hellfire.
