وَدَخَلَ مَعَهُ ٱلسِّجْنَ فَتَيَانِ ۖ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَآ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَعْصِرُ خَمْرًا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْءَاخَرُ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰنِىٓ أَحْمِلُ فَوْقَ رَأْسِى خُبْزًا تَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِنْهُ ۖ نَبِّئْنَا بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓ ۖ إِنَّا نَرَىٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿36﴾

And there entered the prison with him two young men. One of them said, "Indeed, I have seen myself [in a dream] pressing wine." The other said, "Indeed, I have seen myself carrying upon my head [some] bread, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation; indeed, we see you to be of those who do good."

[i] see myselfأَرَانِيCBFV+PRONATTأَرَا[i] see myself+نِيme
PressingأَعْصِرُF
WineخَمْرًاI
And saidوَقَالَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَالَSaid
The otherالْآخَرُIالthe+آخَرُOther
Indeed iإِنِّيCBHACC+PRONATTإِIndeed i+نيme
[i] see myselfأَرَانِيCBFV+PRONATTأَرَا[i] see myself+نِيme
[i am] carryingأَحْمِلُF
OverفَوْقَI
My headرَأْسِيCBIN+PRONATTرَأْسِMy head+يme / my
BreadخُبْزًاI
Were eatingتَأْكُلُF
The birdsالطَّيْرُIالthe+طَيْرُBirds
From itمِنْهُCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هُhim / his / it
Inform usنَبِّئْنَاCBFV+PRONATTنَبِّئْInform+نَاus / our
Of its interpretationبِتَأْوِيلِهِCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+تَأْوِيلِOf its interpretation+هِhim / his / it
Indeed weإِنَّاCBHACC+PRONATTإِIndeed we+ناus / our
[we] see youنَرَاكَCBFV+PRONATTنَرَا[we] see+كَyou / your
OfمِنَH
The good doersالْمُحْسِنِينَIالthe+مُحْسِنِينَGood doers

قَالَ لَا يَأْتِيكُمَا طَعَامٌ تُرْزَقَانِهِۦٓ إِلَّا نَبَّأْتُكُمَا بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِى رَبِّىٓ ۚ إِنِّى تَرَكْتُ مِلَّةَ قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ ﴿37﴾

He said, "You will not receive food that is provided to you except that I will inform you of its interpretation before it comes to you. That is from what my Lord has taught me. Indeed, I have left the religion of a people who do not believe in Allah, and they, in the Hereafter, are disbelievers.

ButإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
I will inform both of youنَبَّأْتُكُمَاCBFV+PRONATTنَبَّأْتُI will inform both of+كُمَاyou two
Of its interpretationبِتَأْوِيلِهِCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+تَأْوِيلِOf its interpretation+هِhim / his / it
BeforeقَبْلَI
[that]أَنْH
[it] comes to both of youيَأْتِيَكُمَاCBFV+PRONATTيَأْتِيَ[it] comes to both of+كُمَاyou two
ThatذَلِكُمَاI
Is of whatمِمَّاCBIP+RELمِنfrom / of=مَاwhat
Has taught meعَلَّمَنِيCBFV+PRONATTعَلَّمَHas taught+نِيme
My LordرَبِّيCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّMy Lord+يme / my
Indeed iإِنِّيCBHACC+PRONATTإِIndeed i+نيme
[i] abandonتَرَكْتُF
The religionمِلَّةَI
Of a peopleقَوْمٍI
NotلَاH
They believeيُؤْمِنُونَF
In AllahبِاللَّهِCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِAllah
And theyوَهُمْCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+هُمْThey
In the HereafterبِالْآخِرَةِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+آخِرَةِHereafter
[they]هُمْI
Are disbelieversكَافِرُونَI

وَٱتَّبَعْتُ مِلَّةَ ءَابَآءِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ مَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نُّشْرِكَ بِٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ ﴿38﴾

And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it was not for us to associate anything with Allah. That is from the favor of Allah upon us and upon the people, but most of the people are not grateful.

And isaacوَإِسْحَاقَCBICONJ+PNوَand+إِسْحَاقَIsaac
And jacobوَيَعْقُوبَCBICONJ+PNوَand+يَعْقُوبَJacob
NotمَاH
WasكَانَF
For usلَنَاCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَاus / our
ThatأَنْH
We associateنُشْرِكَF
With AllahبِاللَّهِCBIP+PNبِwith / in+اللَّهِAllah
AnyمِنْH
ThingشَيْءٍI
ThatذَلِكَI
Is fromمِنْH
The graceفَضْلِI
Of AllahاللَّهِI
Upon usعَلَيْنَاCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىUpon+نَاus / our
And uponوَعَلَىCBHCONJ+Pوَand+عَلَىUpon
The mankindالنَّاسِIالthe+نَاسِMankind
ButوَلَكِنَّCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+لَكِنَّBut
MostأَكْثَرَI
Of the menالنَّاسِIالthe+نَاسِOf the men
Are notلَاH
GratefulيَشْكُرُونَF

يَٰصَىٰحِبَىِ ٱلسِّجْنِ ءَأَرْبَابٌ مُّتَفَرِّقُونَ خَيْرٌ أَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ ﴿39﴾

O [my] two companions of prison, are separate lords better or Allah, the One, the Prevailing?

SeparateمُتَفَرِّقُونَI
BetterخَيْرٌI
OrأَمِH
AllahاللَّهُI
The oneالْوَاحِدُIالthe+وَاحِدُOne
The irresistibleالْقَهَّارُIالthe+قَهَّارُIrresistible

مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءً سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ ۚ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۚ أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿40﴾

You worship not besides Him except [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. Legislation is not but for Allah. He has commanded that you worship not except Him. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

AllahاللَّهُI
For itبِهَاCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هَاher / it / its
AnyمِنْH
AuthorityسُلْطَانٍI
NotإِنِH
Is the commandالْحُكْمُIالthe+حُكْمُIs the command
ButإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
For AllahلِلَّهِCBIP+PNلِfor / to+اللَّهِAllah
He has commandedأَمَرَF
That notأَلَّاCBHأَنْthat=لَاnot
You worshipتَعْبُدُواF
ButإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
Him aloneإِيَّاهُI
ThatذَلِكَI
Is the religionالدِّينُIالthe+دِينُIs the religion
The rightالْقَيِّمُIالthe+قَيِّمُRight
ButوَلَكِنَّCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+لَكِنَّBut
MostأَكْثَرَI
[the] menالنَّاسِIالthe+نَاسِ[the] men
Do notلَاH
KnowيَعْلَمُونَF

يَٰصَىٰحِبَىِ ٱلسِّجْنِ أَمَّآ أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِى رَبَّهُۥ خَمْرًا ۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلْءَاخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّيْرُ مِن رَّأْسِهِۦ ۚ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ ﴿41﴾

O two companions of prison, as for one of you, he will give drink to his master of wine; but as for the other, he will be crucified, and the birds will eat from his head. The matter has been decreed about which you both inquire."

And as forوَأَمَّاCBHCONJ+CONDوَand+أَمْor=مَاwhat
The otherالْآخَرُIالthe+آخَرُOther
He will be crucifiedفَيُصْلَبُCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+يُصْلَبُHe will be crucified
And will eatفَتَأْكُلُCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+تَأْكُلُAnd will eat
The birdsالطَّيْرُIالthe+طَيْرُBirds
FromمِنْH
His headرَأْسِهِCBIN+PRONATTرَأْسِHis head+هِhim / his / it
Has been decreedقُضِيَF
The matterالْأَمْرُIالthe+أَمْرُMatter
About whichالَّذِيI
About whichفِيهِCBHP+PRONATTفِيAbout which+هِhim / his / it
You both inquireتَسْتَفْتِيَانِF

وَقَالَ لِلَّذِى ظَنَّ أَنَّهُۥ نَاجٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱذْكُرْنِى عِندَ رَبِّكَ فَأَنسَىٰهُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِى ٱلسِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ ﴿42﴾

And he said to the one whom he knew would go free, "Mention me before your master." But Satan made him forget the mention [to] his master, and Joseph remained in prison several years.

Would be savedنَاجٍI
Of both of themمِنْهُمَاCBHP+PRONATTمِنْOf both of+هُمَاthem two
Mention meاذْكُرْنِيCBFV+PRONATTاذْكُرْMention+نِيme
ToعِنْدَI
Your masterرَبِّكَCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّYour master+كَyou / your
But made him forgetفَأَنْسَاهُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَنْسَاBut made him forget+هُhim / his / it
The devilالشَّيْطَانُIالthe+شَيْطَانُDevil
The mentionذِكْرَI
To his masterرَبِّهِCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّTo his master+هِhim / his / it
So he remainedفَلَبِثَCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+لَبِثَHe remained
InفِيH
The prisonالسِّجْنِIالthe+سِجْنِPrison

YearsسِنِينَI
