وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِى ٱشْتَرَىٰهُ مِن مِّصْرَ لِٱمْرَأَتِهِۦٓ أَكْرِمِى مَثْوَىٰهُ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَنَآ أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدًا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُۥ مِن تَأْوِيلِ ٱلْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِۦ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿21﴾

And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." And thus, We established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know.

Make comfortableأَكْرِمِيF
His stayمَثْوَاهُCBIN+PRONATTمَثْوَاHis stay+هُhim / his / it
PerhapsعَسَىF
ThatأَنْH
He will benefit usيَنْفَعَنَاCBFV+PRONATTيَنْفَعَHe will benefit+نَاus / our
OrأَوْH
We will take himنَتَّخِذَهُCBFV+PRONATTنَتَّخِذَWe will take+هُhim / his / it
As a sonوَلَدًاI
And thusوَكَذَلِكَCBICONJ+P+DEMوَand+كَذَلِكَThus
We establishedمَكَّنَّاF
JosephلِيُوسُفَCBIP+PNلِfor / to+يُوسُفَJoseph
InفِيH
The landالْأَرْضِIالthe+أَرْضِLand
That we might teach himوَلِنُعَلِّمَهُCBFCONJ+P+V+PRONATTوَand+لِfor / to+نُعَلِّمَThat we might teach+هُhim / his / it
The interpretation ofمِنْH
The interpretation ofتَأْوِيلِI
The eventsالْأَحَادِيثِIالthe+أَحَادِيثِEvents
And AllahوَاللَّهُCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُAllah
Is predominantغَالِبٌI
OverعَلَىH
His affairsأَمْرِهِCBIN+PRONATTأَمْرِHis affairs+هِhim / his / it
ButوَلَكِنَّCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+لَكِنَّBut
MostأَكْثَرَI
Of the peopleالنَّاسِIالthe+نَاسِOf the people
Do notلَاH
KnowيَعْلَمُونَF

وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥٓ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿22﴾

And when Joseph reached maturity, We gave him judgment and knowledge. And thus We reward the doers of good.

He reachedبَلَغَF
His maturityأَشُدَّهُCBIN+PRONATTأَشُدَّHis maturity+هُhim / his / it
We gave himآتَيْنَاهُCBFV+PRONATTآتَيْنَاWe gave+هُhim / his / it
WisdomحُكْمًاI
And knowledgeوَعِلْمًاCBICONJ+Nوَand+عِلْمًاKnowledge
And thusوَكَذَلِكَCBICONJ+P+DEMوَand+كَذَلِكَThus
We rewardنَجْزِيF
The good doersالْمُحْسِنِينَIالthe+مُحْسِنِينَGood doers

وَرَٰوَدَتْهُ ٱلَّتِى هُوَ فِى بَيْتِهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ وَغَلَّقَتِ ٱلْأَبْوَٰبَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ ۚ قَالَ مَعَاذَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ رَبِّىٓ أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَاىَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ﴿23﴾

And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors and said, "Come, you." He said, "[I seek] the refuge of Allah. Indeed, he is my master, who has made good my residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will not succeed."

The doorsالْأَبْوَابَIالthe+أَبْوَابَDoors
And she saidوَقَالَتْCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَالَتْShe said
Come onهَيْتَF
YouلَكَCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+كَyou / your
He saidقَالَF
I seek refuge in AllahمَعَاذَI
I seek refuge in AllahاللَّهِI
Indeed heإِنَّهُCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed he+هُhim / his / it
Is my LordرَبِّيCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّIs my Lord+يme / my
Who has made goodأَحْسَنَF
My stayمَثْوَايَCBIN+PRONATTمَثْوَاMy stay+يَme / my
IndeedإِنَّهُCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed+هُhim / his / it
NotلَاH
Will succeedيُفْلِحُF
The wrongdoersالظَّالِمُونَIالthe+ظَالِمُونَWrongdoers

وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِۦ ۖ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلَآ أَن رَّءَا بُرْهَٰنَ رَبِّهِۦ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلْفَحْشَآءَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿24﴾

And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants.

If notلَوْلَاH
ThatأَنْH
He sawرَأَىF
The proofبُرْهَانَI
Of his LordرَبِّهِCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّOf his Lord+هِhim / his / it
ThusكَذَلِكَCBIP+DEMكَlike+ذَلِكَThus
That we might avertلِنَصْرِفَCBFP+Vلِfor / to+نَصْرِفَThat we might avert
FromعَنْهُCBHP+PRONATTعَنْFrom+هُhim / his / it
The evilالسُّوءَIالthe+سُوءَEvil
And the immoralityوَالْفَحْشَاءَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+فَحْشَاءَImmorality
Indeed heإِنَّهُCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed he+هُhim / his / it
Was ofمِنْH
Our slavesعِبَادِنَاCBIN+PRONATTعِبَادِOur slaves+نَاus / our
The sincereالْمُخْلَصِينَIالthe+مُخْلَصِينَSincere

وَٱسْتَبَقَا ٱلْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُۥ مِن دُبُرٍ وَأَلْفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَا ٱلْبَابِ ۚ قَالَتْ مَا جَزَآءُ مَنْ أَرَادَ بِأَهْلِكَ سُوٓءًا إِلَّآ أَن يُسْجَنَ أَوْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿25﴾

And they both raced to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back, and they found her husband at the door. She said, "What is the recompense of one who intended evil for your wife but that he be imprisoned or a painful punishment?"

Her husbandسَيِّدَهَاCBIN+PRONATTسَيِّدَHer husband+هَاher / it / its
AtلَدَىI
The doorالْبَابِIالthe+بَابِDoor
She saidقَالَتْF
WhatمَاI
Is the recompenseجَزَاءُI
Of one whoمَنْI
IntendedأَرَادَF
For your wifeبِأَهْلِكَCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+أَهْلِFor your wife+كَyou / your
EvilسُوءًاI
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
ThatأَنْH
He be imprisonedيُسْجَنَF
OrأَوْH
A punishmentعَذَابٌI
PainfulأَلِيمٌI

قَالَ هِىَ رَٰوَدَتْنِى عَن نَّفْسِى ۚ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَآ إِن كَانَ قَمِيصُهُۥ قُدَّ مِن قُبُلٍ فَصَدَقَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ ﴿26﴾

[Joseph] said, "It was she who sought to seduce me." And a witness from her family testified. "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has told the truth, and he is of the liars.

Is tornقُدَّF
FromمِنْH
The frontقُبُلٍI
Then she has spoken the truthفَصَدَقَتْCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+صَدَقَتْShe has spoken the truth
And heوَهُوَCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+هُوَHe
Is ofمِنَH
The liarsالْكَاذِبِينَIالthe+كَاذِبِينَLiars

وَإِن كَانَ قَمِيصُهُۥ قُدَّ مِن دُبُرٍ فَكَذَبَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ﴿27﴾

But if his shirt is torn from the back, then she has lied, and he is of the truthful."

And heوَهُوَCBICONJ+PRONSUBJوَand+هُوَHe

The truthfulالصَّادِقِينَIالthe+صَادِقِينَTruthful

فَلَمَّا رَءَا قَمِيصَهُۥ قُدَّ مِن دُبُرٍ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ مِن كَيْدِكُنَّ ۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَكُنَّ عَظِيمٌ ﴿28﴾

So when her husband saw his shirt torn from the back, he said, "Indeed, it is of the women's plan. Indeed, your plan is great.

IndeedإِنَّH
Your plotكَيْدَكُنَّCBIN+PRONATTكَيْدَYour plot+كُنَّyou / your (f. pl.)
Is greatعَظِيمٌI

يُوسُفُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَٰذَا ۚ وَٱسْتَغْفِرِى لِذَنۢبِكِ ۖ إِنَّكِ كُنتِ مِنَ ٱلْخَاطِـِٔينَ ﴿29﴾

Joseph, ignore this. And, [my wife], ask forgiveness for your sin. Indeed, you were of the sinful."
