الٓر ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ﴿1﴾
Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the wise Book

← read from right to left1Alif lam raالرalif-lam-raH 3Are the versesآيَاتُayatuI 4Of the Bookالْكِتَابِl-kitabiIالthe+كِتَابِOf the Book 5The wiseالْحَكِيمِl-hakimiIالthe+حَكِيمِWise أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَنْ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ قَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿2﴾
Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], "Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor with their Lord"? [But] the disbelievers say, "Indeed, this is an obvious magician."

← read from right to left1Is itأَكَانَakanaCBFINTG+Vأَis it? / did?+كَانَIt 2For the mankindلِلنَّاسِlilnnasiCBIP+Nلِلfor the+نَاسِMankind 5We revealedأَوْحَيْنَاawhaynaF 8From among themمِنْهُمْminhumCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom among+هُمْthem / their 11The mankindالنَّاسَl-nasaIالthe+نَاسَMankind 12And give glad tidingsوَبَشِّرِwabashiriCBFCONJ+Vوَand+بَشِّرْGive glad tidings 13To those whoالَّذِينَalladhinaI 16For themلَهُمْlahumCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their 17Will be a respectable positionقَدَمَqadamaI 18Will be a respectable positionصِدْقٍsidqinI 20Their LordرَبِّهِمْrabbihimCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّTheir Lord+هِمْthem / their 22The disbelieversالْكَافِرُونَl-kafirunaIالthe+كَافِرُونَDisbelievers 25Is surely a magicianلَسَاحِرٌlasahirunCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+سَاحِرٌIs surely a magician إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ ۖ مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿3﴾
Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, arranging the matter [of His creation]. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?

← read from right to left2Your LordرَبَّكُمُrabbakumuCBIN+PRONATTرَبَّYour Lord+كُمُyou / your (pl.) 4The one whoالَّذِيalladhiI 6The heavensالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samawatiIالthe+سَمَوَاتِHeavens 7And the earthوَالْأَرْضَwal-ardaCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+أَرْضَEarth 10PeriodsأَيَّامٍayyaminI 12He establishedاسْتَوَىistawaF 14The throneالْعَرْشِl-'arshiIالthe+عَرْشِThrone 15DisposingيُدَبِّرُyudabbiruF 16The affairsالْأَمْرَl-amraIالthe+أَمْرَAffairs 18Is any intercessorمِنْminH 19Is any intercessorشَفِيعٍshafi'inI 20ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 23His permissionإِذْنِهِidhnihiCBIN+PRONATTإِذْنِHis permission+هِhim / his / it 26Your LordرَبُّكُمْrabbukumCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّYour Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 27So worship himفَاعْبُدُوهُfa-u'buduhuCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+اعْبُدُوWorship+هُhim / his / it 28Then will notأَفَلَاafalaCBHINTG+CONJ+NEGأَis it? / did?+فَso / then+لَاWill not 29You rememberتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarunaF إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ ﴿4﴾
To Him is your return all together. [It is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. Indeed, He begins the [process of] creation and then repeats it that He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds, in justice. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment for what they used to deny.

← read from right to left1To himإِلَيْهِilayhiCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTo+هِhim / his / it 2Will be your returnمَرْجِعُكُمْmarji'ukumCBIN+PRONATTمَرْجِعُWill be your return+كُمْyou / your (pl.) 7Indeed heإِنَّهُinnahuCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed he+هُhim / his / it 8Originatesيَبْدَأُyabda'uF 9The creationالْخَلْقَl-khalqaIالthe+خَلْقَCreation 11He repeats itيُعِيدُهُyu'iduhuCBFV+PRONATTيُعِيدُHe repeats+هُhim / his / it 12That he may rewardلِيَجْزِيَliyajziyaCBFP+Vلِfor / to+يَجْزِيَThat he may reward 13Those whoالَّذِينَalladhinaI 15And didوَعَمِلُواwa'amiluCBFCONJ+Vوَand+عَمِلُواDid 16The good deedsالصَّالِحَاتِl-salihatiIالthe+صَالِحَاتِGood deeds 17In justiceبِالْقِسْطِbil-qistiCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+قِسْطِJustice 18But those whoوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhinaCBICONJ+RELوَand+الَّذِينَBut those who 19DisbelievedكَفَرُواkafaruF 20For themلَهُمْlahumCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their 21Will be a drinkشَرَابٌsharabunI 23Boiling fluidsحَمِيمٍhamiminI 24And a punishmentوَعَذَابٌwa'adhabunCBICONJ+Nوَand+عَذَابٌA punishment 26BecauseبِمَاbimaCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاBecause 27They used toكَانُواkanuF 28DisbelieveيَكْفُرُونَyakfurunaF هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءً وَٱلْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿5﴾
It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allah has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know

← read from right to left2Is the one whoالَّذِيalladhiI 4The sunالشَّمْسَl-shamsaIالthe+شَمْسَSun 5A shining lightضِيَاءًdiya'anI 6And the moonوَالْقَمَرَwal-qamaraCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+قَمَرَMoon 7A reflected lightنُورًاnuranI 8And determined for itوَقَدَّرَهُwaqaddarahuCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+قَدَّرَDetermined for+هُhim / his / it 9PhasesمَنَازِلَmanazilaI 10That you may knowلِتَعْلَمُواlita'lamuCBFP+Vلِfor / to+تَعْلَمُواThat you may know 11The numberعَدَدَ'adadaI 12Of the yearsالسِّنِينَl-sininaIالthe+سِنِينَOf the years 13And the count of timeوَالْحِسَابَwal-hisabaCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+حِسَابَCount of time 18ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 19In truthبِالْحَقِّbil-haqiCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+حَقِّTruth 20He explainsيُفَصِّلُyufassiluF 21The signsالْآيَاتِl-ayatiIالthe+آيَاتِSigns 22For a peopleلِقَوْمٍliqawminCBIP+Nلِfor / to+قَوْمٍA people 23Who knowيَعْلَمُونَya'lamunaF إِنَّ فِى ٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ ﴿6﴾
Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and [in] what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who fear Allah

← read from right to left3The alternationاخْتِلَافِikhtilafiI 4Of the nightاللَّيْلِal-layliIالthe+لَيْلِOf the night 5And the dayوَالنَّهَارِwal-nahariCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+نَهَارِDay 7Allah has createdخَلَقَkhalaqaF 8Allah has createdاللَّهُl-lahuI 10The heavensالسَّمَاوَاتِl-samawatiIالthe+سَمَوَاتِHeavens 11And the earthوَالْأَرْضِwal-ardiCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+أَرْضِEarth 12Are signsلَآيَاتٍla-ayatinCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+آيَاتٍAre signs 13For a peopleلِقَوْمٍliqawminCBIP+Nلِfor / to+قَوْمٍA people 14Who are god consciousيَتَّقُونَyattaqunaF إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا وَرَضُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟ بِهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا غَٰفِلُونَ ﴿7﴾
Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and feel secure therein and those who are heedless of Our signs

← read from right to left2Those whoالَّذِينَalladhinaI 5The meeting with usلِقَاءَنَاliqa'anaCBIN+PRONATTلِقَاءَThe meeting with+نَاus / our 6And are pleasedوَرَضُواwaraduCBFCONJ+Vوَand+رَضُواAre pleased 7With the lifeبِالْحَيَاةِbil-hayatiCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+حَيَاةِLife 8Of the worldالدُّنْيَاl-dunyaIالthe+دُنْيَاOf the world 9And feel satisfiedوَاطْمَأَنُّواwa-itma'annuCBFCONJ+Vوَand+اطْمَأَنُّواFeel satisfied 10With itبِهَاbihaCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هَاher / it / its 11And thoseوَالَّذِينَwa-alladhinaCBICONJ+RELوَand+الَّذِينَThose 14Our signsآيَاتِنَاayatinaCBIN+PRONATTآيَاتِOur signs+نَاus / our 15HeedlessغَافِلُونَghafilunaI أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿8﴾
For those their refuge will be the Fire because of what they used to earn.

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure

Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allah," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!"
