ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَا ۜ ﴿1﴾

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance.

The one whoالَّذِيI

The BookالْكِتَابَIالthe+كِتَابَBook
And notوَلَمْCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَمْNot
Has madeيَجْعَلْF
In itلَهُCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُhim / his / it
Any crookednessعِوَجًاI

قَيِّمًا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأْسًا شَدِيدًا مِّن لَّدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا ﴿2﴾

[He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward

Of a punishmentبَأْسًاI

And give glad tidingsوَيُبَشِّرَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يُبَشِّرَGive glad tidings
To the believersالْمُؤْمِنِينَIالthe+مُؤْمِنِينَTo the believers
Those whoالَّذِينَI
DoيَعْمَلُونَF
Righteous deedsالصَّالِحَاتِIالthe+صَالِحَاتِRighteous deeds
ThatأَنَّH
For themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their
Is a good rewardأَجْرًاI
Is a good rewardحَسَنًاI

مَّٰكِثِينَ فِيهِ أَبَدًا ﴿3﴾

In which they will remain forever

They will abideمَاكِثِينَI
In itفِيهِCBHP+PRONATTفِيIn+هِhim / his / it
ForeverأَبَدًاI

وَيُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا ﴿4﴾

And to warn those who say, "Allah has taken a son."

Those whoالَّذِينَI
SayقَالُواF
Allah has takenاتَّخَذَF
Allah has takenاللَّهُI
A sonوَلَدًاI

مَّا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِءَابَآئِهِمْ ۚ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ ۚ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا ﴿5﴾

They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they speak not except a lie.

Mighty isكَبُرَتْF
The wordكَلِمَةًI
That comes outتَخْرُجُF
OfمِنْH
Their mouthsأَفْوَاهِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTأَفْوَاهِTheir mouths+هِمْthem / their
NotإِنْH
They sayيَقُولُونَF
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
A lieكَذِبًاI

فَلَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ إِن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَسَفًا ﴿6﴾

Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow.

Their footstepsآثَارِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTآثَارِTheir footsteps+هِمْthem / their
IfإِنْH
NotلَمْH
They believeيُؤْمِنُواF
In thisبِهَذَاCBIP+DEMبِwith / in+هَذَاThis
[the] narrationالْحَدِيثِIالthe+حَدِيثِ[the] narration
In griefأَسَفًاI

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَّهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ﴿7﴾

Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.

Which of themأَيُّهُمْCBIINTG+PRONATTأَيُّWhich of+هُمْthem / their
Is bestأَحْسَنُI
In deedعَمَلًاI

وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا ﴿8﴾

And indeed, We will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground.

SoilصَعِيدًاI
BarrenجُرُزًاI

أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْكَهْفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا۟ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا عَجَبًا ﴿9﴾

Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?

WereكَانُواF
AmongمِنْH
Our signsآيَاتِنَاCBIN+PRONATTآيَاتِOur signs+نَاus / our
A wonderعَجَبًاI

إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا ﴿10﴾

[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."

YourselfلَدُنْكَCBILOC+PRONATTلَدُنْyourself+كَyou / your
MercyرَحْمَةًI
And facilitateوَهَيِّئْCBFCONJ+Vوَand+هَيِّئْFacilitate
For usلَنَاCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَاus / our
[from]مِنْH
Our affairأَمْرِنَاCBIN+PRONATTأَمْرِOur affair+نَاus / our
In the right wayرَشَدًاI

فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ فِى ٱلْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدًا ﴿11﴾

So We cast [a cover of sleep] over their ears within the cave for a number of years.

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَىُّ ٱلْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓا۟ أَمَدًا ﴿12﴾

Then We awakened them that We might show which of the two factions was most precise in calculating what [extent] they had remained in time.
