وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظًا وَهُمْ رُقُودٌ ۚ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِ ۖ وَكَلْبُهُم بَٰسِطٌ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِٱلْوَصِيدِ ۚ لَوِ ٱطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارًا وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبًا ﴿18﴾

And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror.

The rightالْيَمِينِIالthe+يَمِينِRight
And toوَذَاتَCBICONJ+Nوَand+ذَاتَTo
The leftالشِّمَالِIالthe+شِمَالِLeft
While their dogوَكَلْبُهُمْCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+كَلْبُWhile their dog+هُمْthem / their
StretchedبَاسِطٌI
His two forelegsذِرَاعَيْهِCBIN+PRONATTذِرَاعَيْHis two forelegs+هِhim / his / it
At the entranceبِالْوَصِيدِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+وَصِيدِAt the entrance
IfلَوِH
You had lookedاطَّلَعْتَF
At themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىAt+هِمْthem / their
You would have surely turned backلَوَلَّيْتَCBFLAM+Vلَfor / to+وَلَّيْتَYou would have surely turned back
From themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هُمْthem / their
In flightفِرَارًاI
And surely you would have been filledوَلَمُلِئْتَCBFCONJ+LAM+Vوَand+لَfor / to+مُلِئْتَSurely you would have been filled
By themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْBy+هُمْthem / their
With terrorرُعْبًاI

وَكَذَٰلِكَ بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ لِيَتَسَآءَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ ۚ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثْتُمْ فَٱبْعَثُوٓا۟ أَحَدَكُم بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَٰذِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَنظُرْ أَيُّهَآ أَزْكَىٰ طَعَامًا فَلْيَأْتِكُم بِرِزْقٍ مِّنْهُ وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ وَلَا يُشْعِرَنَّ بِكُمْ أَحَدًا ﴿19﴾

And similarly, We awakened them that they might question one another. Said a speaker from among them, "How long have you remained [here]?" They said, "We have remained a day or part of a day." They said, "Your Lord is most knowing of how long you remained. So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the city and let him look to which is the best of food and bring you provision from it and let him be cautious. And let no one be aware of you.

A speakerقَائِلٌI
Among themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAmong+هُمْthem / their
How longكَمْH
Have you remainedلَبِثْتُمْF
They saidقَالُواF
We have remainedلَبِثْنَاF
A dayيَوْمًاI
OrأَوْH
A partبَعْضَI
Of a dayيَوْمٍI
They saidقَالُواF
Your LordرَبُّكُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّYour Lord+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Knows bestأَعْلَمُI
How longبِمَاCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاHow long
You have remainedلَبِثْتُمْF
So sendفَابْعَثُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+ابْعَثُواSend
One of youأَحَدَكُمْCBINUM+PRONATTأَحَدَOne of+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
With this silver coin of yoursبِوَرِقِكُمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+وَرِقِThis silver coin of yours+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
With this silver coin of yoursهَذِهِI
ToإِلَىH
The cityالْمَدِينَةِIالthe+مَدِينَةِCity
And let him seفَلْيَنْظُرْCBFCONJ+LAM+Vفَso / then+لْfor / to+لِيَنْظُرْAnd let him se
Which isأَيُّهَاI
The purestأَزْكَىI
FoodطَعَامًاI
And let him bring to youفَلْيَأْتِكُمْCBFCONJ+LAM+V+PRONATTفَso / then+لْfor / to+لِيَأْتِAnd let him bring to+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
ProvisionبِرِزْقٍCBIP+Nبِwith / in+رِزْقٍProvision
From itمِنْهُCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هُhim / his / it
And let him be cautiousوَلْيَتَلَطَّفْCBFCONJ+LAM+Vوَand+لْfor / to+لِيَتَلَطَّفْLet him be cautious
And let not be awareوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاLet not be aware
And let not be awareيُشْعِرَنَّCBFV+PRONATTيُشْعِرَAnd let not be aware+نَّemphasis
About youبِكُمْCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
AnyoneأَحَدًاI

إِنَّهُمْ إِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ يَرْجُمُوكُمْ أَوْ يُعِيدُوكُمْ فِى مِلَّتِهِمْ وَلَن تُفْلِحُوٓا۟ إِذًا أَبَدًا ﴿20﴾

Indeed, if they come to know of you, they will stone you or return you to their religion. And never would you succeed, then - ever."

ToفِيH
Their religionمِلَّتِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTمِلَّتِTheir religion+هِمْthem / their
And neverوَلَنْCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَنْNever
Will you succeedتُفْلِحُواF
ThenإِذًاH
EverأَبَدًاI

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَآ إِذْ يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ ۖ فَقَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَٰنًا ۖ رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ ۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًا ﴿21﴾

And similarly, We caused them to be found that they [who found them] would know that the promise of Allah is truth and that of the Hour there is no doubt. [That was] when they disputed among themselves about their affair and [then] said, "Construct over them a structure. Their Lord is most knowing about them." Said those who prevailed in the matter, "We will surely take [for ourselves] over them a masjid."

About the hourالسَّاعَةَIالthe+سَاعَةَAbout the hour
There is noلَاH
DoubtرَيْبَI
In itفِيهَاCBHP+PRONATTفِيIn+هَاher / it / its
WhenإِذْI
They disputedيَتَنَازَعُونَF
Among themselvesبَيْنَهُمْCBILOC+PRONATTبَيْنَAmong+هُمْthem / their
About their affairأَمْرَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَمْرَAbout their affair+هُمْthem / their
And they saidفَقَالُواCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+قَالُواAnd they said
ConstructابْنُواF
Over themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىOver+هِمْthem / their
A structureبُنْيَانًاI
Their LordرَبُّهُمْCBIN+PRONATTرَبُّTheir Lord+هُمْthem / their
Knows bestأَعْلَمُI
About themبِهِمْCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هِمْthem / their
SaidقَالَF
Those whoالَّذِينَI
PrevailedغَلَبُواF
InعَلَىH
Their matterأَمْرِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTأَمْرِTheir matter+هِمْthem / their
Surely we will takeلَنَتَّخِذَنَّCBFLAM+V+PRONATTلَfor / to+نَتَّخِذَSurely we will take+نَّemphasis
Over themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىOver+هِمْthem / their
A place of worshipمَسْجِدًاI

سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلَٰثَةٌ رَّابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَةٌ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَجْمًۢا بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَةٌ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ ۚ قُل رَّبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ ۗ فَلَا تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلَّا مِرَآءً ظَٰهِرًا وَلَا تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِم مِّنْهُمْ أَحَدًا ﴿22﴾

They will say there were three, the fourth of them being their dog; and they will say there were five, the sixth of them being their dog - guessing at the unseen; and they will say there were seven, and the eighth of them was their dog. Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord is most knowing of their number. None knows them except a few. So do not argue about them except with an obvious argument and do not inquire about them among [the speculators] from anyone."

About the unseenبِالْغَيْبِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+غَيْبِAbout the unseen
And they sayوَيَقُولُونَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَقُولُونَThey say
They were sevenسَبْعَةٌI
And the eight of themوَثَامِنُهُمْCBICONJ+NUM+PRONATTوَand+ثَامِنُThe eight of+هُمْthem / their
Their dogكَلْبُهُمْCBIN+PRONATTكَلْبُTheir dog+هُمْthem / their
SayقُلْF
My LordرَبِّيCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّMy Lord+يme / my
Knows bestأَعْلَمُI
Their numberبِعِدَّتِهِمْCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+عِدَّتِTheir number+هِمْthem / their
NoneمَاH
Knows themيَعْلَمُهُمْCBFV+PRONATTيَعْلَمُKnows+هُمْthem / their
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
A fewقَلِيلٌI
So do notفَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGفَso / then+لَاDo not
ArgueتُمَارِF
About themفِيهِمْCBHP+PRONATTفِيAbout+هِمْthem / their
ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
With an argumentمِرَاءًI
ObviousظَاهِرًاI
And do notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاDo not
InquireتَسْتَفْتِF
