وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌ ﴿36﴾

And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.

And whoeverوَمَنْCBICONJ+CONDوَand+مَنْWhoever
Turns awayيَعْشُF
FromعَنْH
The remembranceذِكْرِI
Of the most GraciousالرَّحْمَنِIالthe+رَحْمَنِOf the most Gracious
We appointنُقَيِّضْF
For himلَهُCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُhim / his / it
A devilشَيْطَانًاI
Then heفَهُوَCBICONJ+PRONSUBJفَso / then+هُوَHe
Is to himلَهُCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُhim / his / it
A companionقَرِينٌI

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ ﴿37﴾

And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided

And indeed theyوَإِنَّهُمْCBHCONJ+ACC+PRONATTوَand+إِنَّIndeed+هُمْthem / their
Surely turn themلَيَصُدُّونَهُمْCBFLAM+V+PRONATTلَfor / to+يَصُدُّونَSurely turn+هُمْthem / their
FromعَنِH
The pathالسَّبِيلِIالthe+سَبِيلِPath
And they thinkوَيَحْسَبُونَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَحْسَبُونَThey think
That theyأَنَّهُمْCBHACC+PRONATTأَنَّThat+هُمْthem / their
Are guidedمُهْتَدُونَI

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرِينُ ﴿38﴾

Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west - how wretched a companion."

He saysقَالَF
O would thatيَالَيْتَH
Between meبَيْنِيCBILOC+PRONATTبَيْنِBetween+يme / my
And between youوَبَيْنَكَCBICONJ+LOC+PRONATTوَand+بَيْنَBetween+كَyou / your
Were the distanceبُعْدَI
Of the east and the westالْمَشْرِقَيْنِIالthe+مَشْرِقَيْنِOf the east and the west
How wretched isفَبِئْسَCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+بِئْسَHow wretched is
The companionالْقَرِينُIالthe+قَرِينُCompanion

وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ ﴿39﴾

And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment.

Will benefit youيَنْفَعَكُمُCBFV+PRONATTيَنْفَعَWill benefit+كُمُyou / your (pl.)
The dayالْيَوْمَIالthe+يَوْمَDay
WhenإِذْI
You have wrongedظَلَمْتُمْF
That youأَنَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTأَنَّThat+كُمْyou / your (pl.)
Will be inفِيH
The punishmentالْعَذَابِIالthe+عَذَابِPunishment
SharingمُشْتَرِكُونَI

أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿40﴾

Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muhammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error?

Then can youأَفَأَنْتَCBIINTG+CONJ+PRONSUBJأَis it? / did?+فَso / then+أَنْتَCan you
Cause to hearتُسْمِعُF
The deafالصُّمَّIالthe+صُمَّDeaf
OrأَوْH
GuideتَهْدِيF
The blindالْعُمْيَIالthe+عُمْيَBlind
And one whoوَمَنْCBICONJ+RELوَand+مَنْOne who
IsكَانَF
InفِيH
An errorضَلَالٍI
ClearمُبِينٍI

فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُم مُّنتَقِمُونَ ﴿41﴾

And whether [or not] We take you away [in death], indeed, We will take retribution upon them.

And whetherفَإِمَّاCBHCONJ+EXLفَso / then+إِنْif=مَاever
We take you awayنَذْهَبَنَّCBFV+PRONATTنَذْهَبَWe take you away+نَّemphasis
We take you awayبِكَCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+كَyou / your
Then indeed weفَإِنَّاCBHCONJ+ACC+PRONATTفَso / then+إِIndeed we+ناus / our
From themمِنْهُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْFrom+هُمْthem / their
Will take retributionمُنْتَقِمُونَI

أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ ٱلَّذِى وَعَدْنَٰهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِم مُّقْتَدِرُونَ ﴿42﴾

Or whether [or not] We show you that which We have promised them, indeed, We are Perfect in Ability.

Over themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىOver+هِمْthem / their
Have full powerمُقْتَدِرُونَI

فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿43﴾

So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.

So hold fastفَاسْتَمْسِكْCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+اسْتَمْسِكْHold fast
To that whichبِالَّذِيCBIP+RELبِwith / in+الَّذِيTo that which
Is revealedأُوحِيَF
To youإِلَيْكَCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTo+كَyou / your
Indeed youإِنَّكَCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed+كَyou / your
Are onعَلَىH
A pathصِرَاطٍI
StraightمُسْتَقِيمٍI

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكْرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ ﴿44﴾

And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned.

Is surely a reminderلَذِكْرٌCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+ذِكْرٌIs surely a reminder

And your peopleوَلِقَوْمِكَCBICONJ+P+N+PRONATTوَand+لِfor / to+قَوْمِYour people+كَyou / your
And soonوَسَوْفَCBHCONJ+FUTوَand+سَوْفَSoon
You will be questionedتُسْأَلُونَF

وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ءَالِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ ﴿45﴾

And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped?

Those whomمَنْI
We sentأَرْسَلْنَاF

To be worshippedيُعْبَدُونَF
