وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿51﴾
And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the Qur'an that they might be reminded.

Those to whom We gave the Scripture before it - they are believers in it.

And when it is recited to them, they say, "We have believed in it; indeed, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed we were, [even] before it, Muslims [submitting to Allah]."

Those will be given their reward twice for what they patiently endured and [because] they avert evil through good, and from what We have provided them they spend.

← read from right to left2Will be givenيُؤْتَوْنَyu'tawnaF 3Their rewardأَجْرَهُمْajrahumCBIN+PRONATTأَجْرَTheir reward+هُمْthem / their 4TwiceمَرَّتَيْنِmarratayniI 5BecauseبِمَاbimaCBHP+SUBبِwith / in+مَاBecause 6They are patientصَبَرُواsabaruF 7And they repelوَيَدْرَءُونَwayadra'unaCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَدْرَءُونَThey repel 8With goodبِالْحَسَنَةِbil-hasanatiCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+حَسَنَةِGood 9The evilالسَّيِّئَةَl-sayi'ataIالthe+سَيِّئَةَEvil 10And from whatوَمِمَّاwamimmaCBHCONJ+Pوَand+مِنfrom / of=مَاwhat 11We have provided themرَزَقْنَاهُمْrazaqnahumCBFV+PRONATTرَزَقْنَاWe have provided+هُمْthem / their 12They spendيُنْفِقُونَyunfiqunaF وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ لَنَآ أَعْمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِى ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ ﴿55﴾
And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant."

Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.

← read from right to left5You loveأَحْبَبْتَahbabtaF 10He willsيَشَاءُyasha'uF 12Is most knowingأَعْلَمُa'lamuI 13Of the guided onesبِالْمُهْتَدِينَbil-muhtadinaCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+مُهْتَدِينَOf the guided ones وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِن نَّتَّبِعِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَآ ۚ أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّهُمْ حَرَمًا ءَامِنًا يُجْبَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَٰتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ رِّزْقًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿57﴾
And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.

← read from right to left1And they sayوَقَالُواwaqaluCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَالُواThey say 3We followنَتَّبِعِnattabi'iF 4The guidanceالْهُدَىl-hudaIالthe+هُدَىGuidance 6We would be sweptنُتَخَطَّفْnutakhattafF 8Our landأَرْضِنَاardinaCBIN+PRONATTأَرْضِOur land+نَاus / our 9Have notأَوَلَمْawalamCBHINTG+CONJ+NEGأَis it? / did?+وَand+لَمْHave not 10We establishedنُمَكِّنْnumakkinF 11For themلَهُمْlahumCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their 12A sanctuaryحَرَمًاharamanI 14Are broughtيُجْبَىyujbaF 15To itإِلَيْهِilayhiCBHP+PRONATTإِلَىTo+هِhim / his / it 16FruitsثَمَرَاتُthamaratuI 19A provisionرِزْقًاrizqanI 22ButوَلَكِنَّwalakinnaCBHCONJ+ACCوَand+لَكِنَّBut 23Most of themأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahumCBIN+PRONATTأَكْثَرَMost of+هُمْthem / their 25Knowيَعْلَمُونَya'lamunaF وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍۭ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ فَتِلْكَ مَسَٰكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ ﴿58﴾
And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors.

And never would your Lord have destroyed the cities until He had sent to their mother a messenger reciting to them Our verses. And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers.

And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?
