الٓر ۚ كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ ﴿1﴾
Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy -

Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And woe to the disbelievers from a severe punishment

The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah, seeking to make it (seem) deviant. Those are in extreme error.

And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them, and Allah sends astray [thereby] whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

← read from right to left2We sentأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnaF 4MessengerرَسُولٍrasulinI 5ExceptإِلَّاillaHإِنْif=لَاnot 6With the languageبِلِسَانِbilisaniCBIP+Nبِwith / in+لِسَانِThe language 7Of his peopleقَوْمِهِqawmihiCBIN+PRONATTقَوْمِOf his people+هِhim / his / it 8So that he might make clearلِيُبَيِّنَliyubayyinaCBFP+Vلِfor / to+يُبَيِّنَSo that he might make clear 9For themلَهُمْlahumCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their 10Then Allah lets go astrayفَيُضِلُّfayudilluCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+يُضِلُّAllah lets go astray 11Then Allah lets go astrayاللَّهُl-lahuI 13He willsيَشَاءُyasha'uF 14And guidesوَيَهْدِيwayahdiCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَهْدِيGuides 16He willsيَشَاءُyasha'uF 18Is the all mightyالْعَزِيزُl-'azizuIالthe+عَزِيزُIs the all mighty 19The all wiseالْحَكِيمُl-hakimuIالthe+حَكِيمُAll wise وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ ﴿5﴾
And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs, [saying], "Bring out your people from darknesses into the light and remind them of the days of Allah." Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

← read from right to left1And verilyوَلَقَدْwalaqadCBHCONJ+CERTوَand+لَقَدْVerily 2We sentأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnaF 4With our signsبِآيَاتِنَاbi-ayatinaCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+آيَاتِOur signs+نَاus / our 6Bring outأَخْرِجْakhrijF 7Your peopleقَوْمَكَqawmakaCBIN+PRONATTقَوْمَYour people+كَyou / your 9The darkness[es]الظُّلُمَاتِl-zulumatiIالthe+ظُلُمَاتِDarkness[es] 11The lightالنُّورِl-nuriIالthe+نُورِLight 12And remind themوَذَكِّرْهُمْwadhakkirhumCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+ذَكِّرْRemind+هُمْthem / their 13Of the daysبِأَيَّامِbi-ayyamiCBIP+Nبِwith / in+أَيَّامِOf the days 18Surely are the signsلَآيَاتٍla-ayatinCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+آيَاتٍSurely are the signs 19For everyoneلِكُلِّlikulliCBIP+Nلِfor / to+كُلِّEveryone 20PatientصَبَّارٍsabbarinI 21And thankfulشَكُورٍshakurinI وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ ﴿6﴾
And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to His people, "Remember the favor of Allah upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
