وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا ﴿21﴾

And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.

The angelsالْمَلَائِكَةُIالthe+مَلَائِكَةُAngels
OrأَوْH
We seeنَرَىF
Our LordرَبَّنَاCBIN+PRONATTرَبَّOur Lord+نَاus / our
IndeedلَقَدِH
They have become arrogantاسْتَكْبَرُواF
WithinفِيH
ThemselvesأَنْفُسِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTأَنْفُسِthemselves+هِمْthem / their
And become insolentوَعَتَوْاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+عَتَوْاBecome insolent
With insolenceعُتُوًّاI
GreatكَبِيرًاI

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا ﴿22﴾

The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."

For the criminalsلِلْمُجْرِمِينَCBIP+Nلِلfor the+مُجْرِمِينَCriminals
And they will sayوَيَقُولُونَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَقُولُونَThey will say
A partitionحِجْرًاI
ForbiddenمَحْجُورًاI

وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنثُورًا ﴿23﴾

And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.

And we will proceedوَقَدِمْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَدِمْنَاWe will proceed
ToإِلَىH
WhateverمَاI
They didعَمِلُواF
OfمِنْH
The deedsعَمَلٍI
And we will make themفَجَعَلْنَاهُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+جَعَلْنَاAnd we will make+هُhim / his / it
As dustهَبَاءًI
DispersedمَنْثُورًاI

أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا ﴿24﴾

The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.

Of ParadiseالْجَنَّةِIالthe+جَنَّةِOf Paradise
That dayيَوْمَئِذٍIيَوْمday=إِذْthat
Will be in a betterخَيْرٌI
AbodeمُسْتَقَرًّاI
And a betterوَأَحْسَنُCBICONJ+Nوَand+أَحْسَنُA better
Resting placeمَقِيلًاI

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا ﴿25﴾

And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.

Will split openتَشَقَّقُF
The heavensالسَّمَاءُIالthe+سَمَاءُHeavens
With the cloudsبِالْغَمَامِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+غَمَامِClouds
And will be sent downوَنُزِّلَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+نُزِّلَWill be sent down
The angelsالْمَلَائِكَةُIالthe+مَلَائِكَةُAngels
DescendingتَنْزِيلًاI

ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًا ﴿26﴾

True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.

The sovereigntyالْمُلْكُIالthe+مُلْكُSovereignty
That dayيَوْمَئِذٍIيَوْمday=إِذْthat
Will be trulyالْحَقُّIالthe+حَقُّWill be truly
For the most GraciousلِلرَّحْمَنِCBIP+PNلِلfor the+رَحْمَنِMost Gracious
And it will beوَكَانَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانَIt will be
A dayيَوْمًاI
ForعَلَىH
The disbelieversالْكَافِرِينَIالthe+كَافِرِينَDisbelievers
DifficultعَسِيرًاI

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا ﴿27﴾

And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.

The wrongdoerالظَّالِمُIالthe+ظَالِمُWrongdoer
[on]عَلَىH

He will sayيَقُولُF
O i wishيَالَيْتَنِيCBHVOC+ACC+PRONATTيَالَيْتَO i wish+نِيme
I had takenاتَّخَذْتُF
WithمَعَI
The MessengerالرَّسُولِIالthe+رَسُولِMessenger
A wayسَبِيلًاI

يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا ﴿28﴾

Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.

As a friendخَلِيلًاI

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ خَذُولًا ﴿29﴾

He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."

The reminderالذِّكْرِIالthe+ذِكْرِReminder
AfterبَعْدَI
[when]إِذْI
It had come to meجَاءَنِيCBFV+PRONATTجَاءَIt had come to+نِيme
And isوَكَانَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَانَIs
The devilالشَّيْطَانُIالthe+شَيْطَانُDevil
To the manلِلْإِنْسَانِCBIP+Nلِلfor the+إِنْسَانِMan
A deserterخَذُولًاI

وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا ﴿30﴾

And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."

And saidوَقَالَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَالَSaid
The MessengerالرَّسُولُIالthe+رَسُولُMessenger
O my LordيَارَبِّCBIVOC+NيَاO+رَبِّMy Lord
IndeedإِنَّH
My peopleقَوْمِيCBIN+PRONATTقَوْمِMy people+يme / my
TookاتَّخَذُواF
ThisهَذَاI
The QuranالْقُرْآنَIالthe+قُرْآنَQuran
As a forsaken thingمَهْجُورًاI

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا ﴿31﴾

And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.

And thusوَكَذَلِكَCBICONJ+P+DEMوَand+كَذَلِكَThus
We have madeجَعَلْنَاF
For everyلِكُلِّCBIP+Nلِfor / to+كُلِّEvery
ProphetنَبِيٍّI
An enemyعَدُوًّاI
AmongمِنَH
The criminalsالْمُجْرِمِينَIالthe+مُجْرِمِينَCriminals
But sufficient isوَكَفَىCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَفَىBut sufficient is
Your LordبِرَبِّكَCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+رَبِّYour Lord+كَyou / your
As a guideهَادِيًاI
And a helperوَنَصِيرًاCBICONJ+Nوَand+نَصِيرًاA helper

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةً وَٰحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُ تَرْتِيلًا ﴿32﴾

And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.

And saidوَقَالَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَالَSaid
Those whoالَّذِينَI
DisbelieveكَفَرُواF
Why notلَوْلَاH
Was revealedنُزِّلَF
To himعَلَيْهِCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىTo+هِhim / his / it
The QuranالْقُرْآنُIالthe+قُرْآنُQuran
All at onceجُمْلَةًI
All at onceوَاحِدَةًI
ThusكَذَلِكَCBIP+DEMكَlike+ذَلِكَThus
That we may strengthenلِنُثَبِّتَCBFP+Vلِfor / to+نُثَبِّتَThat we may strengthen
TherebyبِهِCBHP+PRONATTبِwith / in+هِhim / his / it
Your heartفُؤَادَكَCBIN+PRONATTفُؤَادَYour heart+كَyou / your
And we have recited itوَرَتَّلْنَاهُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+رَتَّلْنَاWe have recited+هُhim / his / it
With distinct recitationتَرْتِيلًاI

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا ﴿33﴾

And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

They come to youيَأْتُونَكَCBFV+PRONATTيَأْتُونَThey come to+كَyou / your
With an exampleبِمَثَلٍCBIP+Nبِwith / in+مَثَلٍAn example
ButإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot
We bring youجِئْنَاكَCBFV+PRONATTجِئْنَاWe bring+كَyou / your
The truthبِالْحَقِّCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+حَقِّTruth
And the bestوَأَحْسَنَCBICONJ+Nوَand+أَحْسَنَThe best
ExplanationتَفْسِيرًاI

ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا ﴿34﴾

The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.
