فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿61﴾
And when the messengers came to the family of Lot,

And whenفَلَمَّاCBICONJ+Tفَso / then+لَمَّاAnd when The MessengersالْمُرْسَلُونَIالthe+مُرْسَلُونَMessengers قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ ﴿62﴾
He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown."

Indeed youإِنَّكُمْCBHACC+PRONATTإِنَّIndeed+كُمْyou / your (pl.) قَالُوا۟ بَلْ جِئْنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ ﴿63﴾
They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing,

We have come toجِئْنَاكَCBFV+PRONATTجِئْنَاWe have come to+كَyou / your With whatبِمَاCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاWhat وَأَتَيْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ ﴿64﴾
And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful.

And we have comeوَأَتَيْنَاكَCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+أَتَيْنَاWe have come+كَyou / your With the truthبِالْحَقِّCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+حَقِّTruth Surely are truthfulلَصَادِقُونَCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+صَادِقُونَSurely are truthful فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱتَّبِعْ أَدْبَٰرَهُمْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَٱمْضُوا۟ حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ ﴿65﴾
So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded."

So travelفَأَسْرِCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+أَسْرِTravel With your familyبِأَهْلِكَCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+أَهْلِYour family+كَyou / your In a portionبِقِطْعٍCBIP+Nبِwith / in+قِطْعٍA portion The nightاللَّيْلِIالthe+لَيْلِNight And followوَاتَّبِعْCBFCONJ+Vوَand+اتَّبِعْFollow Their backsأَدْبَارَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَدْبَارَTheir backs+هُمْthem / their Among youمِنْكُمْCBHP+PRONATTمِنْAmong+كُمْyou / your (pl.) And go onوَامْضُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+امْضُواGo on You are orderedتُؤْمَرُونَF وَقَضَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ ﴿66﴾
And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning.

And we conveyedوَقَضَيْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قَضَيْنَاWe conveyed The matterالْأَمْرَIالthe+أَمْرَMatter Would be cut offمَقْطُوعٌI By early morningمُصْبِحِينَI وَجَآءَ أَهْلُ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ﴿67﴾
And the people of the city came rejoicing.

Of the cityالْمَدِينَةِIالthe+مَدِينَةِOf the city RejoicingيَسْتَبْشِرُونَF قَالَ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيْفِى فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ ﴿68﴾
[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ ﴿69﴾
And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."

And fearوَاتَّقُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+اتَّقُواFear قَالُوٓا۟ أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿70﴾
They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?"

[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]."

Are my daughtersبَنَاتِيCBIN+PRONATTبَنَاتِAre my daughters+يme / my لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِى سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ﴿72﴾
By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.

So the shriek seized them at sunrise.

So seized themفَأَخَذَتْهُمُCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَخَذَتْSeized+هُمُthem / their The awful cryالصَّيْحَةُIالthe+صَيْحَةُAwful cry فَجَعَلْنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ﴿74﴾
And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay.

And we madeفَجَعَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+جَعَلْنَاAnd we made Its highest partعَالِيَهَاCBIN+PRONATTعَالِيَIts highest part+هَاher / it / its Its lowestسَافِلَهَاCBIN+PRONATTسَافِلَIts lowest+هَاher / it / its And we rainedوَأَمْطَرْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَمْطَرْنَاWe rained Upon themعَلَيْهِمْCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىUpon+هِمْthem / their إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ ﴿75﴾
Indeed in that are signs for those who discern.

Are the signsلَآيَاتٍCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+آيَاتٍAre the signs For those who discernلِلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَCBIP+Nلِلfor the+مُتَوَسِّمِينَThose who discern وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقِيمٍ ﴿76﴾
And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road.

Is on a roadلَبِسَبِيلٍCBILAM+P+Nلَfor / to+بِwith / in+سَبِيلٍIs on a road إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿77﴾
Indeed in that is a sign for the believers.

Surely is a signلَآيَةًCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+آيَةًSurely is a sign For the believersلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَCBIP+Nلِلfor the+مُؤْمِنِينَBelievers وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ ﴿78﴾
And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers.

Of the woodالْأَيْكَةِIالthe+أَيْكَةِOf the wood Surely wrongdoersلَظَالِمِينَCBILAM+Nلَfor / to+ظَالِمِينَSurely wrongdoers فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿79﴾
So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway.
