وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ ۖ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلْقِتَالُ ۙ رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ ٱلْمَغْشِىِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ ﴿20﴾
Those who believe say, "Why has a surah not been sent down? But when a precise surah is revealed and fighting is mentioned therein, you see those in whose hearts is hypocrisy looking at you with a look of one overcome by death. And more appropriate for them [would have been]

And sayوَيَقُولُCBFCONJ+Vوَand+يَقُولُSay Has been revealedنُزِّلَتْF But whenفَإِذَاCBICONJ+Tفَso / then+إِذَاBut when And is mentionedوَذُكِرَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+ذُكِرَIs mentioned The fightingالْقِتَالُIالthe+قِتَالُFighting Their heartsقُلُوبِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTقُلُوبِTheir hearts+هِمْthem / their Of one faintingالْمَغْشِيِّIالthe+مَغْشِيِّOf one fainting Of one faintingعَلَيْهِCBHP+PRONATTعَلَىOf one fainting+هِhim / his / it The deathالْمَوْتِIالthe+مَوْتِDeath But more appropriateفَأَوْلَىCBICONJ+Nفَso / then+أَوْلَىBut more appropriate طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوفٌ ۚ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ ٱلْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ ﴿21﴾
Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.

And a wordوَقَوْلٌCBICONJ+Nوَand+قَوْلٌA word And whenفَإِذَاCBICONJ+Tفَso / then+إِذَاAnd when The matterالْأَمْرُIالthe+أَمْرُMatter They had been trueصَدَقُواF Surely it would have beenلَكَانَCBFLAM+Vلَfor / to+كَانَSurely it would have been فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوٓا۟ أَرْحَامَكُمْ ﴿22﴾
So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship?

You are givenتَوَلَّيْتُمْF You cause corruptionتُفْسِدُواF The earthالْأَرْضِIالthe+أَرْضِEarth And cut offوَتُقَطِّعُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+تُقَطِّعُواCut off Your ties of kinshipأَرْحَامَكُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَرْحَامَYour ties of kinship+كُمْyou / your (pl.) أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَىٰٓ أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ ﴿23﴾
Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.

Allah has cursed themلَعَنَهُمُCBFV+PRONATTلَعَنَAllah has cursed+هُمُthem / their Allah has cursed themاللَّهُI So he made them deafفَأَصَمَّهُمْCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTفَso / then+أَصَمَّHe made them deaf+هُمْthem / their And blindedوَأَعْمَىCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَعْمَىBlinded Their visionأَبْصَارَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَبْصَارَTheir vision+هُمْthem / their أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَآ ﴿24﴾
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?

Then do notأَفَلَاCBHINTG+CONJ+NEGأَis it? / did?+فَso / then+لَاDo not They ponderيَتَدَبَّرُونَF Over the QuranالْقُرْآنَIالthe+قُرْآنَOver the Quran Are locksأَقْفَالُهَاCBIN+PRONATTأَقْفَالُAre locks+هَاher / it / its إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَٰرِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَى ۙ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ ﴿25﴾
Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

Their backsأَدْبَارِهِمْCBIN+PRONATTأَدْبَارِTheir backs+هِمْthem / their Has become clearتَبَيَّنَF Of the guidanceالْهُدَىIالthe+هُدَىOf the guidance DevilالشَّيْطَانُIالthe+شَيْطَانُDevil [for] themلَهُمْCBHP+PRONATTلَfor / to+هُمْthem / their And prolonged hopeوَأَمْلَىCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَمْلَىProlonged hope ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا۟ مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِى بَعْضِ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ ﴿26﴾
That is because they said to those who disliked what Allah sent down, "We will obey you in part of the matter." And Allah knows what they conceal.

Of the matterالْأَمْرِIالthe+أَمْرِOf the matter But AllahوَاللَّهُCBICONJ+PNوَand+اللَّهُBut Allah Their secretsإِسْرَارَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTإِسْرَارَTheir secrets+هُمْthem / their فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْ ﴿27﴾
Then how [will it be] when the angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?

Take them in deathتَوَفَّتْهُمُCBFV+PRONATTتَوَفَّتْTake them in death+هُمُthem / their The angelsالْمَلَائِكَةُIالthe+مَلَائِكَةُAngels Their facesوُجُوهَهُمْCBIN+PRONATTوُجُوهَTheir faces+هُمْthem / their And their backsوَأَدْبَارَهُمْCBICONJ+N+PRONATTوَand+أَدْبَارَTheir backs+هُمْthem / their ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَآ أَسْخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا۟ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ ﴿28﴾
That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds.
