عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ﴿1﴾
About what are they asking one another?

About the great news -

The newsالنَّبَإِIالthe+نَبَأِNews The greatالْعَظِيمِIالthe+عَظِيمِGreat ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ﴿3﴾
That over which they are in disagreement.

Are concerning itفِيهِCBHP+PRONATTفِيAre concerning+هِhim / his / it In disagreementمُخْتَلِفُونَI كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ﴿4﴾
No! They are going to know.

Soon they will knowسَيَعْلَمُونَCBFFUT+Vسَwill+يَعْلَمُونَSoon they will know ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ﴿5﴾
Then, no! They are going to know.

Have We not made the earth a resting place?

Have notأَلَمْCBHINTG+NEGأَis it? / did?+لَمْHave not The earthالْأَرْضَIالthe+أَرْضَEarth وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ﴿7﴾
And the mountains as stakes?

And the mountainsوَالْجِبَالَCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+جِبَالَMountains وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ﴿8﴾
And We created you in pairs

And we created youوَخَلَقْنَاكُمْCBFCONJ+V+PRONATTوَand+خَلَقْنَاWe created+كُمْyou / your (pl.) وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ﴿9﴾
And made your sleep [a means for] rest

And made the night as clothing

And we madeوَجَعَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+جَعَلْنَاWe made The nightاللَّيْلَIالthe+لَيْلَNight وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا ﴿11﴾
And made the day for livelihood

And we madeوَجَعَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+جَعَلْنَاWe made The dayالنَّهَارَIالthe+نَهَارَDay وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ﴿12﴾
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

And we constructedوَبَنَيْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+بَنَيْنَاWe constructed وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا ﴿13﴾
And made [therein] a burning lamp

And we placedوَجَعَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+جَعَلْنَاWe placed وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا ﴿14﴾
And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

And we sent downوَأَنْزَلْنَاCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَنْزَلْنَاWe sent down The rain cloudsالْمُعْصِرَاتِIالthe+مُعْصِرَاتِRain clouds Pouring abundantlyثَجَّاجًاI لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا ﴿15﴾
That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation

And gardens of entwined growth.

And gardensوَجَنَّاتٍCBICONJ+Nوَand+جَنَّاتٍGardens Of thick foliageأَلْفَافًاI إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتًا ﴿17﴾
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -

Of the judgmentالْفَصْلِIالthe+فَصْلِOf the judgment An appointed timeمِيقَاتًاI يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿18﴾
The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

In which shall be blownيُنْفَخُF The trumpetالصُّورِIالthe+صُورِTrumpet And you will come forthفَتَأْتُونَCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+تَأْتُونَAnd you will come forth وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًا ﴿19﴾
And the heaven is opened and will become gateways

And is openedوَفُتِحَتِCBFCONJ+Vوَand+فُتِحَتْIs opened The heavenالسَّمَاءُIالthe+سَمَاءُHeaven And becomesفَكَانَتْCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+كَانَتْAnd becomes وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ﴿20﴾
And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.

And are movedوَسُيِّرَتِCBFCONJ+Vوَand+سُيِّرَتْAre moved The mountainsالْجِبَالُIالthe+جِبَالُMountains And becomeفَكَانَتْCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+كَانَتْAnd become إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا ﴿21﴾
Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًا ﴿22﴾
For the transgressors, a place of return,

For the transgressorsلِلطَّاغِينَCBIP+Nلِلfor the+طَاغِينَTransgressors لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًا ﴿23﴾
In which they will remain for ages [unending].

They will be remainingلَابِثِينَI لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا ﴿24﴾
They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink

They will tasteيَذُوقُونَF إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا ﴿25﴾
Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -

ExceptإِلَّاHإِنْif=لَاnot And purulenceوَغَسَّاقًاCBICONJ+Nوَand+غَسَّاقًاPurulence جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا ﴿26﴾
An appropriate recompense.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا ﴿27﴾
Indeed, they were not expecting an account
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا ﴿28﴾
And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.

And they deniedوَكَذَّبُواCBFCONJ+Vوَand+كَذَّبُواThey denied Our signsبِآيَاتِنَاCBIP+N+PRONATTبِwith / in+آيَاتِOur signs+نَاus / our وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ كِتَٰبًا ﴿29﴾
But all things We have enumerated in writing.

And everyوَكُلَّCBICONJ+Nوَand+كُلَّEvery We have enumerated itأَحْصَيْنَاهُCBFV+PRONATTأَحْصَيْنَاWe have enumerated+هُhim / his / it فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ﴿30﴾
"So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."
