لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ﴿1﴾
I swear by the Day of Resurrection

By the dayبِيَوْمِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+يَوْمِThe day Of the resurrectionالْقِيَامَةِIالthe+قِيَامَةِOf the resurrection وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ ﴿2﴾
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].

By the soulبِالنَّفْسِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+نَفْسِSoul Self accusingاللَّوَّامَةِIالthe+لَوَّامَةِSelf accusing أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ ﴿3﴾
Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?

Does thinkأَيَحْسَبُCBFINTG+Vأَis it? / did?+يَحْسَبُThink [the] manالْإِنْسَانُIالthe+إِنْسَانُ[the] man That notأَلَّنْHأَنْthat=لَنْwill not We will assembleنَجْمَعَF His bonesعِظَامَهُCBIN+PRONATTعِظَامَHis bones+هُhim / his / it بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ ﴿4﴾
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.

His fingertipsبَنَانَهُCBIN+PRONATTبَنَانَHis fingertips+هُhim / his / it بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ ﴿5﴾
But man desires to continue in sin.

He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"

Of the resurrectionالْقِيَامَةِIالthe+قِيَامَةِOf the resurrection فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ ﴿7﴾
So when vision is dazzled

So whenفَإِذَاCBICONJ+Tفَso / then+إِذَاWhen The visionالْبَصَرُIالthe+بَصَرُVision وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿8﴾
And the moon darkens

And becomes darkوَخَسَفَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+خَسَفَBecomes dark The moonالْقَمَرُIالthe+قَمَرُMoon وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿9﴾
And the sun and the moon are joined,

And are joinedوَجُمِعَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+جُمِعَAre joined The sunالشَّمْسُIالthe+شَمْسُSun And the moonوَالْقَمَرُCBICONJ+Nوَand+الthe+قَمَرُMoon يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ ﴿10﴾
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"

[the] manالْإِنْسَانُIالthe+إِنْسَانُ[the] man That dayيَوْمَئِذٍIيَوْمday=إِذْthat Is the escapeالْمَفَرُّIالthe+مَفَرُّIs the escape كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ ﴿11﴾
No! There is no refuge.
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ ﴿12﴾
To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.

Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.

Will be informedيُنَبَّأُF [the] manالْإِنْسَانُIالthe+إِنْسَانُ[the] man That dayيَوْمَئِذٍIيَوْمday=إِذْthat Of whatبِمَاCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاOf what And kept backوَأَخَّرَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَخَّرَKept back بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ ﴿14﴾
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,

[the] manالْإِنْسَانُIالthe+إِنْسَانُ[the] man HimselfنَفْسِهِCBIN+PRONATTنَفْسِHimself+هِhim / his / it Will be a witnessبَصِيرَةٌI وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ ﴿15﴾
Even if he presents his excuses.

His excusesمَعَاذِيرَهُCBIN+PRONATTمَعَاذِيرَHis excuses+هُhim / his / it لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ ﴿16﴾
Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.

So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.

And whenفَإِذَاCBICONJ+Tفَso / then+إِذَاAnd when We have recited itقَرَأْنَاهُCBFV+PRONATTقَرَأْنَاWe have recited+هُhim / his / it Then followفَاتَّبِعْCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+اتَّبِعْFollow Its recitationقُرْآنَهُCBIN+PRONATTقُرْآنَIts recitation+هُhim / his / it ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ ﴿19﴾
Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].

Is its explanationبَيَانَهُCBIN+PRONATTبَيَانَIs its explanation+هُhim / his / it كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ ﴿20﴾
No! But you love the immediate

The immediateالْعَاجِلَةَIالthe+عَاجِلَةَImmediate وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ﴿21﴾
And leave the Hereafter.

And leaveوَتَذَرُونَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+تَذَرُونَLeave The HereafterالْآخِرَةَIالthe+آخِرَةَHereafter وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ ﴿22﴾
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,

That dayيَوْمَئِذٍIيَوْمday=إِذْthat Will be radiantنَاضِرَةٌI إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ ﴿23﴾
Looking at their Lord.

Their LordرَبِّهَاCBIN+PRONATTرَبِّTheir Lord+هَاher / it / its وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ ﴿24﴾
And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted,

And facesوَوُجُوهٌCBICONJ+Nوَand+وُجُوهٌFaces That dayيَوْمَئِذٍIيَوْمday=إِذْthat Will be distortedبَاسِرَةٌI تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ ﴿25﴾
Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking.
كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ ﴿26﴾
No! When the soul has reached the collar bones

The collar bonesالتَّرَاقِيَIالthe+تَرَاقِيَCollar bones وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ ﴿27﴾
And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?"

And it is saidوَقِيلَCBFCONJ+Vوَand+قِيلَIt is said وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ ﴿28﴾
And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation

And he is certainوَظَنَّCBFCONJ+Vوَand+ظَنَّHe is certain Is the partingالْفِرَاقُIالthe+فِرَاقُIs the parting وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ ﴿29﴾
And the leg is wound about the leg,

And is woundوَالْتَفَّتِCBFCONJ+Vوَand+الْتَفَّتِIs wound The legالسَّاقُIالthe+سَاقُLeg About the legبِالسَّاقِCBIP+Nبِwith / in+الthe+سَاقِAbout the leg إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ ﴿30﴾
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.
