Surah Al-Munafiqun

المنافقون

Surah 63 · Ruku 2 of 2 · ayahs 9–11 · Juz 28 · page 555 · Madani

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ ﴿9﴾

O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that - then those are the losers.

Let notلَاH

Divert youتُلْهِكُمْCBFV+PRONATTتُلْهِDivert+كُمْyou / your (pl.)

And notوَلَاCBHCONJ+NEGوَand+لَاNot

Your childrenأَوْلَادُكُمْCBIN+PRONATTأَوْلَادُYour children+كُمْyou / your (pl.)

FromعَنْH

The remembranceذِكْرِI

Of AllahاللَّهِI

And whoeverوَمَنْCBICONJ+CONDوَand+مَنْWhoever

DoesيَفْعَلْF

ThatذَلِكَI

Then thoseفَأُولَئِكَCBICONJ+DEMفَso / then+أُولَئِكَThose

[they]هُمُI

Are the losersالْخَاسِرُونَIالthe+خَاسِرُونَAre the losers

63:10

وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَٰكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْتَنِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿10﴾

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

WhatمَاI

We have provided youرَزَقْنَاكُمْCBFV+PRONATTرَزَقْنَاWe have provided+كُمْyou / your (pl.)

BeforeمِنْH

BeforeقَبْلِI

[that]أَنْH

ComesيَأْتِيَF

To one of youأَحَدَكُمُCBINUM+PRONATTأَحَدَTo one of+كُمُyou / your (pl.)

The deathالْمَوْتُIالthe+مَوْتُDeath

And he saysفَيَقُولَCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+يَقُولَAnd he says

My LordرَبِّI

Why notلَوْلَاH

You delay meأَخَّرْتَنِيCBFV+PRONATTأَخَّرْتَYou delay+نِيme

ForإِلَىH

A termأَجَلٍI

NearقَرِيبٍI

So i would give charityفَأَصَّدَّقَCBFCONJ+Vفَso / then+أَصَّدَّقَI would give charity

And beوَأَكُنْCBFCONJ+Vوَand+أَكُنْBe

AmongمِنَH

The righteousالصَّالِحِينَIالthe+صَالِحِينَRighteous

63:11

وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهَا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿11﴾

But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

Of whatبِمَاCBIP+RELبِwith / in+مَاOf what
